Abstract: A lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine includes an oil pump, a main gallery, an oil-supply passage, a sub gallery, and an oil-communication passage. The oil pump is installed in a crankcase configured by connecting an upper crankcase on a mating surface of a lower crankcase from above. The main gallery is provided in the lower crankcase for supplying oil from the oil pump to the engine. The oil-supply passage is provided in the lower crankcase and supplies oil from the main gallery to a mating-surface-oil passage of the mating surface. The sub gallery is provided in the upper crankcase for guiding oil to a piston jet that injects oil toward a piston of the engine. The oil-communication passage is provided across the lower and upper crankcases, branches from the oil-supply passage to communicate with the sub gallery, and guides oil in the oil-supply passage to the sub gallery.

Abstract: A lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine includes a crankcase, an oil pump, and a relief valve. The crankcase is configured by connecting an upper crankcase on a mating surface of a lower crankcase, and has an oil pan. The oil pump and the relief valve are installed in the lower crankcase. The oil pump sucks oil in the oil pan through a suction passage, and discharges the oil into a discharge passage. The relief valve performs a valve-opening operation according to pressure of oil in the discharge passage to return surplus oil in the discharge passage to the suction passage through a surplus passage. These passages are formed in the lower crankcase. A relief valve housing section housing the relief valve, and the surplus passage allowing the relief valve housing section and the suction passage to communicate with each other, are provided to communicate with the mating surface.

Abstract: In the oil lubrication structure that supplies lubricating oil to the transmission device, the oil lubrication structure includes an oil passage formed above a transmission device. The oil passage is formed by an oil groove portion and a plate member. The oil groove portion is integrally formed in a crankcase. The plate member is arranged in the crankcase so as to cover the oil groove portion. The plate member has oil dripping holes formed therein, and the oil dripping holes are opened at positions directly above the transmission device.

Abstract: To provide a vehicle that includes a balancer mechanism for reducing vibration of the engine and can leave a space margin for increasing the fuel tank in size and/or arranging equipment or components at the rear of the cylinder and above the crankcase. A vehicle includes: an engine mounted on a body frame. The engine comprises a crankcase with a ceiling wall, a crankshaft provided in the crankcase, and a balancer mechanism for reducing vibration of the engine by power transmitted from the crankshaft. The balancer mechanism comprises an idler gear disposed behind the crankshaft and rotated by power transmitted from the crankshaft, and a first balancer disposed behind the idler gear and rotated by power transmitted from the idler gear. The idler gear and the first balancer are disposed along the ceiling wall.

Abstract: A bearing unit structure includes a bearing and a bearing holding unit. The bearing rotatably supports a drive shaft.
