Abstract: An information processing apparatus that generates an image in a virtual space to be presented to a user detects information as to a position of a target object in a real space, places a virtual object corresponding to the target object at a position in the virtual space obtained on the basis of the detected information as to the position of the target object in the real space, acquires user body size data representing the size of a body of the user in the real space, and determines the position in the virtual space at which the virtual object is to be placed, using the detected information as to the position of the target object in the real space, and the user body size data about the user in the real space.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an information processing device including an acquiring unit that acquires positional information of a flat surface present in a first space around a first user and positional information of a flat surface present in a second space around a second user, and a transformation parameter determining unit that determines a coordinate transformation parameter for transforming position coordinates of the first space and the second space into position coordinates in a virtual space such that a position of the flat surface present in the first space and a position of the flat surface present in the second space coincide with each other. A position of an object present in the first space and a position of another object present in the second space are transformed into positions in the virtual space according to the determined coordinate transformation parameter.

Abstract: An image acquisition unit acquires an image captured by a first imaging device provided in a HMD for presenting an image observed when a three-dimensional image in a virtual three-dimensional space is projected onto a real-world setting, the first imaging device being configured to visualize an area including a field of view of a user wearing the HMD. A marker detection unit detects a marker included in the image captured by the first imaging device and acquired by the image acquisition unit. The image acquisition unit acquires an image captured by a second imaging device having an angle of view that at least partially overlaps an angle of view of the first imaging device. If the marker is not captured in the image captured by the first imaging device, the marker detection unit detects the marker in an image captured by the second imaging device.

Abstract: An information processing device obtains information regarding the position of each fingertip of a user in a real space, and determines contact between a virtual object set within a virtual space and a finger of the user. The information processing device sets the virtual object in a partly deformed state such that a part of the virtual object, the part corresponding to the position of the finger determined to be in contact with the object among the fingers of the user, is located more to a far side from a user side than the finger, and displays the virtual object having the shape set thereto as an image in the virtual space on a display device.
