Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method capable of performing appropriate stream processing.An input stream is split into a split stream for each of a plurality of channels. A stream to be generated includes the split stream, and signature information unique for each of the input streams containing the split stream, or includes the split stream, the signature information, and location information about a transmission frequency band of a split stream constituting the input stream and different from the split stream included in the generated stream. The present technology is applicable to a channel bonding (CB) technology which splits an input stream into streams of a plurality of channels and transmits the split streams, for example.

Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes a group-wise interleaving unit that performs group-wise interleaving; and a block interleaving unit that performs block interleaving in such a manner that an LDPC code obtained by performing the group-wise interleaving is written in m number of columns as storage regions arranged in the row direction. A type of the block interleaving includes a type A and a type B. A MODCOD which is a combination of the LDPC code and the modulation scheme includes a MODCOD-A which is a MODCOD based on the assumption that the block interleaving of the type A is performed, and a MDOCOD-B which is a MDOCOD based on the assumption that the block interleaving of the type B is performed.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method. The data processing device includes processing circuitry that splits an input stream into a split stream for each of a plurality of channels. The processing circuitry further generates a transmission frame based on the split stream of one of the plurality of channels and channel bonding signaling information for the one of the plurality of channels. The channel bonding signaling information includes signature information that uniquely identifies the input stream. Further, the signature information is contained in a header of the transmission frame.
