Abstract: The present technology relates to a reception apparatus, a transmission apparatus, and a data processing method that can prevent useless discard of packets.The reception apparatus performs an error detection process by using an error detection code included in a header of a transport packet. The plurality of transport packets are provided in a payload of a baseband packet that has gone through demodulation. The transport packets include the header and a payload. The header includes the error detection code. The payload has an IP packet provided therein, and the IP packet includes a UDP packet. The present technology is applicable, for example, to data transport compliant with a broadcasting standard such as ATSC 3.0.
