Abstract: The present disclosure relates to electronic devices and methods for controlling the same. According to an example embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device comprises a short-range communication module comprising short-range communication circuitry configured to perform short-range communication, a memory storing configuration information regarding at least one controlled object, the configuration information configured by the electronic device, and a processor electrically connected with the memory, wherein the processor is configured to enable the electronic device to send the configuration information to a second electronic device wherein the at least one controlled object is controllable by the second electronic device based on a data exchange through the short-range communication with the second electronic device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a terminal apparatus and a controlling method thereof, the terminal apparatus including a communicator configured to communicate with at least one device through a hub device; a display configured to display an image; a user input receiver configured to receive a user's input; at least one processor configured to control the display to display a dialog box where the hub device or the at least one device is set as a counterpart in response to execution of a messenger program, control the communicator to transmit a control signal including a command for controlling a predetermined device to the device targeted for control through the hub device so that the device targeted for control operates in response to the command corresponding to a user's input when the user's input corresponding to the command is received in the displayed dialog box through the user input receiver, and control the display to display a message corresponding to the transmitted command in the dialog box. Thus, the messenger program is used to transmit a command to a household device in home, and it is more convenient for a user to use an IoT service.
