Abstract: The present disclosure describes an image processor of a display device. The image processing includes a pre-processor, a segmentation processor, and a correction processor. The pre-processor performs spatial filtering on an input image signal and output a line image signal. The segmentation processor classifies a class of the line image signal and outputting a segmentation signal representing the class. The correction processor corrects the segmentation signal based on the line image signal. Additionally, the correction processor detects a class boundary of the segmentation signal, detects an edge within an edge region of the line image signal corresponding to the class boundary, and corrects the segmentation signal based on the detected edge.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device. The display device includes a controller and a display panel displaying an image. The detector separates image data into first image data corresponding to a first image recognized as a non-afterimage component and second image data corresponding to a second image recognized as an afterimage component using a pre-trained deep neural network. The compensator outputs a compensation signal to control a luminance value of the second image data. The light emission amount calculator calculates the fourth modulation data based on the ratio between the first data and the second data. The fourth color includes a color based on mixing the first color and the second color.

Abstract: A display device includes a controller that generates first and second sub-frame image signals based on a frame image signal. The first and second sub-frame image signals respectively correspond to sub-frames. The controller includes a filter, a signal generator, and a signal output. The filter outputs a high frequency image signal, obtained by increasing a high frequency component in the frame image signal, and a low frequency image signal obtained by decreasing the high frequency component in the frame image signal. The signal generator generates an excess signal from a portion of the high frequency image signal having a grayscale value equal to or greater than a maximum allowable grayscale value. The signal output selectively outputs the first sub-frame image signal based on the excess signal and the high frequency image signal and the second sub-frame image signal based on the excess signal and the low frequency image signal.
