Abstract: Optically transparent and infrared absorbing films include an infrared absorbing layer including, for example, a transparent conductive oxide. The film can include an infrared absorption composite stack that can include, for example, an infrared absorption material disposed between dielectric layers. The film can synergistically improve optical and solar properties.

Abstract: A composite window film may include a first window facing substrate, a reflecting stack and an absorbing stack. The reflecting stack may be located between the first window facing substrate and the absorbing stack. The composite window film may have a VLT not greater than about 80%, a TSER of at least about 40%, and an Energetic Absorption (EA) of not greater than about 50%.
