Abstract: A method for packaging articles for transportation including: a) preparing at least one pallet, wherein the pallet includes a base plate; b) placing at least one article to be transported onto the base plate; c) providing a transport box that is open toward the base plate over the at least one article to be transported, wherein the transport box is placed on the base plate in such a manner that the transport box together with the base plate forms an interior of a transport packaging unit which receives the at least one article to be transported; d) a closure step, wherein the transport box comprises a closable opening on a side opposite the base plate, wherein the closable opening is closed in the closure step; and e) at least one fixing step including fixing the transport box on the base plate with at least one fastening element.

Abstract: A process for safeguarding a product during transportation includes forming a package by surrounding a product with packaging material and accommodating the package in an external packaging that includes a carrier element and a bag element. The carrier element includes an upper side including a border and a lower side opposite the upper side, wherein the lower side includes a base. Further, the bag element includes a base and a bag opening with a border opposite the base of the bag element. The package is accommodated in the external packaging by loading the package onto the carrier element such that the package is carried by the carrier element and loading the carrier element via the bag opening into the bag element such that the bag element surrounds the carrier element and the bag element extends on the upper side of the carrier element beyond the border of the carrier element.

Abstract: Disclosed is a transport packaging unit for packaging articles to be transported, in particular hazardous materials. The transport packaging unit comprises the following: a pallet with a base plate, wherein the articles to be transported are receivable on the base plate; a transport box which is open toward the base plate, wherein the transport box rests on the base plate and together with the base plate forms an interior of the transport packaging unit which receives the articles to be transported, wherein the transport box is fixed on the base plate by means of at least one fastening element, preferably by means of at least one packing strip.

Abstract: A method for packaging articles to be transported is provided comprising a) preparing at least one pallet comprising a base plate, which base plate forms an even plate-shaped element; b) placing the articles to be transported onto the base plate; c) providing a transport box that's open toward the base plate in an inverted orientation over the articles, wherein the transport box is placed on the base plate so that the transport box and base plate together form an interior of the transport packaging unit, wherein the transport box comprises an opening that's closable by folding flaps on a side opposite the base plate, wherein the transport box closes off flush with the pallet; and d) fixing the transport box on the base plate with at least one packing strip, wherein the transport box is pressed onto the base plate by said at least one packing strip.
