Abstract: Headwear positionable upon a head of a wearer has a front, a back, sides, and a generally circular open bottom. A band has a first section extending downwardly from the side of the headwear. The first section is folded upwardly and terminates in a second section with a free end. A snap separably couples the free end of the band to a section of the band above the bend thereby creating a chamber. A vibrator is positioned in the chamber over the temple of the wearer. A tilt switch is positioned in the chamber and is operatively coupled to the vibrator whereby a nodding wearer will tilt the tilt switch to activate the vibrator and awaken the wearer. Batteries operatively couple the vibrator and the tilt switch.

Abstract: A heat-sink type of water heater unit is disclosed wherein the unit is designed for external installation on a stove to transfer heat from the stove to water flowing through the unit, to pre-heat the water for subsequent use. The unit has a flat surface which can be bolted to the outside of the stove, an inlet which can be attached to a cold-water source, a U-shaped inner passage in which water can flow and be heated by the stove, and a discharge which can be hooked up to a hot-water tank. In addition, the unit has an adjustment feature which enables the unit to be moved laterally, closer to or farther away from the hot stove wall to which the unit is connected. By regulating the distance between the unit and the stove, the water temperature produced by the unit can be selectively controlled.

Abstract: An animal escape device has a central plate, an upper plate and a pair of side plates. The central plate depends downwardly at an angle and has a lower edge positionable in a swimming pool beneath the surface of the water, an upper edge, and parallel side edges. The upper plate is positionable on a deck of the pool and has an interior edge coupled to the upper edge of the central plate and has an exterior edge and side edges. Each of the side plates has a top edge coupled to an associated one of the side edges of the central plate. Each side plate has a bottom edge positionable entirely within the pool and a top edge partially within the water. The side plates form obtuse angles with respect to the central plate.
