A method, a computer readable medium, and an apparatus for providing haptic feedback through a plurality of haptic devices are provided. The apparatus may receive a multi-channel audio stream. The apparatus may split the multi-channel audio stream into a plurality of audio channels. For each haptic signal of a plurality of haptic signals, the apparatus may generate the haptic signal based on one or more audio channels of the plurality of audio channels. For each haptic signal of the plurality of haptic signals, the apparatus may transmit the haptic signal to a corresponding haptic device of the plurality of haptic devices to produce the haptic feedback.
Abstract:
The present application provides a system and method for providing telephony functions for operation during a computer game application execution. In particular, a system and method for performing mobile telephony calling and/or messaging operations in-game during computer game application execution is provided. In the disclosure, a mobile telephony user interface is provided and operated in conjunction with a computer game user interface presenting a game environment to a gamer. Mobile telephony operations are provided by way of the mobile telephony user interface in a manner that at least substantially avoids interrupting gamer perception of ongoing game play and gamer interaction with the game environment.

However, when these peripheral devices are detected by the computing system, a generic UI control configuration is often assigned to them and whatever customised settings previously configured by the user will be lost and replaced with a new set of unfamiliar setting. This poses much inconvenience and hassle to gamers when they use a different computing system or machine. Described according to an embodiment of the invention is a profile management method, operating on a computing cloud, comprising steps for receiving client data provided by a computing system detecting coupling of a user-interface (UI) thereto and for retrieving configuration data corresponding to the client data for use in configuring the UI by the computing system.

The present technology is a collaboration management system initiating a collaboration session for a plurality of computing systems having user-interfaces (UIs) coupled thereto. The collaboration management system discovers the device profiles corresponding to the UIs for extracting corresponding configuration specific to each of the UIs for configuring interactions between the UIs and an application operating during the collaboration session.
