Abstract:
Various embodiments include methods and devices for dynamically personalizing a wireless communication device. Embodiment methods may include analyzing a USIM AID (Application ID) list contained in the elementary file directory (EF-DIR) of an inserted SIM card for codes for personalization categories indicative of IMSI based, non-IMSI based, or both. Based on the 3G App code in USIM AID found in the EF-DIR, the corresponding personalization categories and values may be retrieved from ME database. The data required for personalization and their values contained in the inserted SIM card may be compared against the personalization category and values retrieved from the database. Access to camp on a mobile network may be dependent on the comparison of personalization category values and codes.
Abstract:
Techniques for detecting and correcting information modification in a mobile device are provided. An example method for detecting and correcting information modification in a mobile device includes: making a determination that locking configuration information for locking the mobile device for use with a wireless network of a wireless network operator has been modified; configuring the mobile device with restored locking configuration information in response to the determination that the locking configuration information has been modified; and performing operations using the restored locking configuration information in response to the mobile device being configured to use the restored locking configuration information.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus are provided for priority fallback of SUCI calculation. In accordance with some implementation, a UE may transmit, in response to receiving an indication of authentication failure for a first SUCI based on a first SUCI parameter, a second SUCI based on a second SUCI parameter different from the first SUCI parameter. In accordance with some implementation, the UE may further transmit a SUCI with NULL SUCI parameter if the UE determines all SUCI parameters supported by the UE has been rejected by the network.
Abstract:
A mobile device may be configured to determine, in a secure portion of the mobile device, whether a non-volatile indication (e.g., a fuse or non-volatile bit or flag) allocated to lender binding has been set. A mobile device processor may query a payment server associated with a lender of the mobile device to determine a next payment due date in response to determining that the non-volatile indication allocated to lender binding has been set, and select an operating mode for the mobile device based on a difference between the next payment due date and the current date.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify an ongoing operation associated with a file of a universal integrated circuit card coupled to the UE. The UE may identify a request to access the file during the ongoing operation. The UE may suspend the request to access the file during the ongoing operation. The UE may process the request to access the file after completion of the ongoing operation. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and media for the provision of emergency services information are provided. Embodiments include receiving, by a mobile device, an emergency services information mapping table, the emergency services information mapping table comprising a plurality of entries, each entry of the plurality of entries comprising a mobile country code value, an emergency services telephone number value, and an emergency services type value. Embodiments include retrieving, by the mobile device, information from the emergency services information mapping table in response to an input from a user of the mobile device.
