    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support techniques for transmission power determination for radio frequency (RF) exposure compliance. A transmitting device, such as a user equipment (UE) may determine an uplink transmit power limit for a time window based on an RF limit and a duration of the time window. The device may use the power limit to determine an uplink transmit power based on a computed uplink transmission period for the time window that accounts for a time period during which the device is expected to actually transmit. The computed uplink transmission period may be based on one or more actual uplink transmission periods during one or more prior time windows, a predictive model, network signaling, or any combinations thereof. The device may transmit one or more uplink transmissions during the time window using the determined uplink transmit power.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for radio frequency (RF) exposure limit compliance using uplink duty cycling. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a buffer status report (BSR) that indicates an amount of data that is to be transmitted by the UE, where lower priority data reported in the BSR may be throttled in order to reduce an amount of uplink resources associated with the lower priority data and thereby adjust an uplink duty cycle of the UE. The reduced uplink duty cycle may provide for additional transmit power that is available for higher priority data transmissions.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, and a base station may receive, a report that includes information related to a power headroom available to the UE at a current power level and information related to a duty cycle that the UE can sustain over a moving integration window based at least in part on a maximum permissible exposure limit.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for contemporaneously estimating transmitter in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) imbalances, receiver I/Q imbalances, and transmit carrier leakage in a wireless transceiver. In some implementations, first, second, and third frequency-domain multi-tone (FDMT) signals transmitted through a calibration path of the wireless transceiver are captured to generate frequency domain representations of the first, second, and third FDMT signals. The frequency domain representations of the first, second, and third FDMT signals may be used to contemporaneously estimate the transmitter I/Q imbalances, receiver I/Q imbalances, and the transmit carrier leakage, which in turn may be used to determine transmitter and receiver I/Q imbalance correction filter coefficients and a transmit carrier leakage correction factor.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit uplink transmission using antenna elements mapped to one or more antenna ports. The UE may transmit a first message to a network entity to indicate antenna ports that are available for wireless communications at the UE. The UE may transmit a second message to the network entity to indicate antenna groups associated with the antenna ports. Each antenna group may include a respective set of one or more antenna elements and may be associated with a respective transmit power threshold. The network entity may select a first antenna group of the one or more antenna groups for the UE to use for uplink transmissions. The UE may transmit, after transmitting the first and second messages, one or more uplink transmissions to the network entity using the first antenna group.

    Abstract: Wireless communication devices are adapted to utilize maximum permissible exposure requirements in determining uplink traffic grant allocations within wireless communication systems. According to one example, a wireless communication device can determine one or more candidate uplink duty cycles for a subsequent uplink transmission interval based at least in part on an MPE requirement, determine a maximum number of resource blocks per symbol and a maximum MSC index associated with each of the one or more candidate uplink duty cycles from a predefined MCS index table, and select a duty cycle, number of resource blocks per symbol, and MCS that facilitates a largest number of un-coded bits for the subsequent uplink transmission interval.
