Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a method for enhanced multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) wireless communications. The proposed method may reduce and/or eliminate stringent frequency and time synchronization requirements for stations (STAs) to participate in a downlink MU-MIMO transaction by utilizing deterministic scheduling.

Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and computer readable medium manage the utilization of a wireless medium capable of transmitting multiple channels of data simultaneously. A plurality of messages are stored in a queue for transmission on the wireless medium. A wireless medium utilization for transmitting a first message over the multi-channel medium is determined. Each of the messages stored in the queue is delayed based at least in part on the determined wireless medium utilization. In some embodiments, a message may be delayed based at least in part on a state of a connection used by the message. For example, if the connection is in a ramp-up or slow start phase, the message may not be delayed. Messages may also be delayed based on a type of the message. For example, messages generated by interactive applications, such as web browsers or instant messaging applications may not be delayed.
Abstract:
A method includes sending, from a wireless device, an information element including at least one transmitter characteristic field. The at least one transmitter characteristic field includes information regarding a spectral mask associated with the wireless device and information regarding an antenna gain associated with the wireless device.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a STA. The STA communicating with a first AP based on a key. The STA receives an identifier broadcasted from a second AP. The STA determines whether the key can be used with the second AP based on the received identifier. The STA selects the second AP upon determining the key can be used with the second AP. The STA requests a transfer of association context information from the first AP to the second AP. The key may be a PTK. The PTK may be a function of the identifier. The identifier may be a zone identifier identifying a set of APs that belong to a security domain in which the association context information of the STA can be transferred from one AP to another AP.

Abstract:
A system and method of infrastructure service discovery is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, a method includes requesting an access point to issue an Internet protocol address reserved for service discovery messages. In another particular embodiment, a method includes generating a service query message at a mobile station and sending the service query message to an advertisement server via an uncontrolled port. In yet another particular embodiment, a method includes generating, at a mobile station, a layer 2 protocol query encapsulating at least a portion of a layer 3 protocol query in the layer 2 protocol query to generate a modified layer 2 protocol query. The layer 3 protocol query is associated with a service discovery request. The method further includes sending the modified layer 2 protocol query to an access point or to an information server via a wireless network.
