Abstract:
A central coordinator can execute operations to minimize in-network contention and external network interference in a communication network. The central coordinator can determine to switch to alternate communication channel if performance of the alternate communication channel surpasses the performance of a current communication channel. A multicast channel switch message is transmitted to a plurality of client devices associated with the central coordinator. If an acknowledgement for the multicast channel switch message is not received from a first client device, the central coordinator causes remainder of the plurality of client devices to defer switching to the alternate communication channel and transmits a unicast channel switch message to the first client device. The central coordinator and the associated client devices switch to alternate communication channel after an acknowledgement is received from all the client devices.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may comprise a transceiver configured to transmit uplink frames and receive downlink frames in a first transaction slot of a super-frame. The one or more of the uplink frames and the downlink frames are associated with over-allocated network allocation vectors that reserve a transmission time which exceeds a time required to transmit acknowledgements of the one or more downlink frames or receive acknowledgement of the one or more uplink frames, respectively. The apparatus may comprise a processing system configured to cause the transceiver to transmit a first uplink frame to the access point with a first over-allocated NAV, to establish a start-time for the super-frame and to extract data from two or more downlink frames in a burst received from the access point.
Abstract:
A wireless device configured as a group owner determines whether all client devices paired with the group owner are currently associated with the group owner. If all paired client devices are currently associated with the group owner, the group owner enters a first mode in which the group owner is in an active mode (powered up to communicate) during a first portion of a beacon interval and is in a low power mode (in which no communication occurs) during a second portion of the beacon interval. If not all paired client devices are currently associated with the group owner, the group owner enters a second mode in which the group owner is in the active state during the first portion and at least part of the second portion of the beacon interval. The group owner and client devices are configured to operate as master and slave.

Abstract:
An access terminal transmits at least one uplink transaction to an access point during a transaction slot of a frame including a plurality of slots, when a transaction criterion is satisfied. The transaction criterion may be receipt of a beacon signal from the access point indicating the access point has downlink data for the access terminal. In this case, the uplink transaction includes a trigger configured to pull downlink data from the access point. The access terminal may transmit a burst of uplink transactions over a number of frames, until it receives an empty indication from the access point indicating that all available downlink data has been pulled from the access point. The transaction criterion may be a presence of uplink data at the access point that is intended for the access point. In this case, the access terminal transmits data for the access point during the uplink transaction.
