Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a measurement gap configuration from a base station, wherein the measurement gap configuration includes a tune away period. The UE may determine whether one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied for the tune away period. The UE may disregard the measurement gap configuration based at least in part on the determination of whether the one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied. The UE may remain tuned to the base station during the tune away period based at least in part on the determination of whether the one or more data traffic criteria are satisfied. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to a UE adapting the capability it advertises based on the network within which the UE is operating. In some examples, if a network currently supports a certain bandwidth, the UE may select the capabilities it will advertise based on that supported bandwidth. In some examples, a UE may acquire information regarding which configurations were considered by a network. In this case, the UE may select the capabilities it will advertise based on such configurations.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and apparatus for rejecting unreliable downlink (DL) transmit power control (TPC) commands in windup mode. In one aspect, the method includes receiving by a user equipment (UE) a plurality of DLTPC commands from a base station, analyzing on one or more transmitted uplink (UL) TPC commands, detecting a windup mode based on the one or more DLTPC and ULTPC commands, and rejecting one or more DLTPC down commands in the windup mode.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication performed at a user equipment (UE), includes transmitting, to a network node, a first indication of a first UE radio capability, the first UE radio capability indicating support for a group of evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) new radio (NR) dual connectivity (EN-DC) band combinations. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, an indication of an active EN-DC band combination based on transmitting the first indication. The method further includes transmitting, to the network node, a second indication of a second UE radio capability based on an actual data throughput metric associated with the active EN-DC band combination satisfying a failure condition. The second UE radio capability may indicate support for one or more non-active EN-DC combinations. Each non-active EN-DC combination may be associated with a potential data throughput metric that is greater than a data throughput threshold value.
Abstract:
Currently, the MIMO MAC-CEs have been designed to support only one component carrier. Aspects described herein provide MAC-CEs and RRC signaling, which may facilitate efficient spatial and beam change indications for multiple component carriers. A UE may be configured to receive a configuration for each of a plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to receive control information in a MAC-CE. The control information may comprise at least one of a TCI state, an CSI-RS resource configuration, or an SRS resource configuration. The UE may be further configured to determine whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers. The UE may be configured to apply the control information to at least one of the plurality of carriers based on a determination of whether the control information applies to multiple carriers from among the plurality of carriers.
Abstract:
A method for reestablishing a radio resource control (RRC) connection on a second subscription upon completion of a voice call on a first subscription for a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) multi-standby (MSMS) mobile communication device, includes: starting a voice call timer at the start of the voice call on the first subscription; stopping the voice call timer upon completion of the voice call on the first subscription; determining an elapsed time of the voice call on the first subscription based on a value of the voice call timer; and determining whether the elapsed time of the voice call on the first subscription is greater than a value of a network connectivity timer.
