Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first wireless device may be configured to transmit one or more reference signals to a second wireless device using a first antenna array at the first wireless device and in accordance with a first precoder matrix. The first wireless device may receive, from the second wireless device based on the one or more reference signals, a feedback message indicating an estimated rotational misalignment, an estimated spatial misalignment, or both, between the first antenna array at the first wireless device and a second antenna array at the second wireless device. The first wireless device may then transmit a message to the second wireless device in accordance with a second precoder matrix that is modified relative to the first precoder matrix based at least in part on the estimated rotational misalignment, the estimated spatial misalignment, or both.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described to estimate interference for concurrent uplink and downlink communications based on an indication of one or more one or more characteristics of an interfering uplink signal communicated between a base station and a second user equipment (UE). The base station or the second UE may transmit, to a first UE, an indication of one or more characteristics of an uplink signal, such as a baseband of the uplink signal or one or more parameters of the uplink signal. The first UE may use the characteristic(s) of the uplink signal to estimate the baseband of the uplink signal and cancel interference associated with the uplink signal. For example, the first UE may use the baseband signal to estimate the interference and may subtract the estimated interference from a downlink signal received at the first UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network entity may receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) at a multi-panel system of the network entity, where the multi-panel system includes one or more sounded panels and one or more non-sounded panels. The network entity may estimate a channel to obtain channel state information (CSI) for the one or more sounded panels based at least in part on the SRS. The network entity may estimate CSI for the one or more non-sounded panels based at least in part on the CSI for the one or more sounded panels. The network entity may transmit or receive a communication based at least in part on the CSI for the one or more sounded panels and the CSI for the one or more non-sounded panels. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, abase station may employ a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that uses passive components to reflect incoming signals in one or more directions. The base station may dynamically configure the RIS to reflect an incoming signal in a specific direction. The base station may transmit, to one or more user equipments (UEs), a message indicating a configuration of one or more RISs. In some aspects, the configuration may include a location of a RIS, reflection angles of a RIS, or both. Based on the configuration, a UE may select a RIS to facilitate communications with the base station. The base station and the UE may communicate via the selected RIS. In some examples, the base station may communicate with one or more UEs via one or more RISs using RIS division multiple access (RDMA).

Abstract: Various techniques for narrowband communications in a wireless communications network are provided. Narrowband communications may be transmitted using a single resource block (RB) of a number of RBs used for wideband communications. In order to provide for efficient device discovery and synchronization using narrowband communications, a synchronization signal, such as a primary synchronization signal (PSS) or secondary synchronization signal (SSS), may be transmitted within the single resource block. The synchronization signal may be transmitted, for example, using multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within the single RB. A common reference signal (CRS) may also be present in the single resource block, which may puncture the synchronization signal, in some examples. In other examples, the synchronization signal may be mapped to non-CRS symbols of the single resource block.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, one or more control messages that indicate a configuration for a first downlink bandwidth part (BWP) associated with a first operating mode of the UE, a second downlink BWP associated with a second operating mode of the UE, a first set of resources within the first downlink BWP, and a second set of resources within the second downlink BWP. At least a portion of the configuration may correspond to a capability of the UE. The UE may monitor the first set of resources while in the first operating mode, and may monitor the second set of resources while in the second operating mode. The UE may receive a system information update or a public warning system (PWS) notification from the network entity via the second set of resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Pre-discrete Fourier transform (DFT) time-domain spreading codes may be applied for UE multiplexing for uplink control information (e.g., over shared resources of an uplink slot). For example, a moderate number of UEs may be multiplexed within the same slot by having each UE spread modulation symbols before DFT-spreading by different spreading code. For orthogonality across UEs, the pre-DFT spreading codes may be selected as orthogonal cover codes (OCCs). The spreading sequences can be generated from a set of any orthogonal sequences or generated from unitary matrices. In some cases, orthogonality in the time domain may be kept as well as a frequency division multiplexed (FDM) structure in the frequency domain. For such property, a Fourier basis OCC design may be used. In some other examples, a Hadamard matrix based OCC design may be used.

Abstract: A UE may be configured for half-duplex communications. An access point may configure half-duplex UEs for efficient resource utilization using two or more different half-duplex configurations that include different timing for channels in different directions. A UE may determine a half-duplex configuration for use in communicating with the access point, each slot of the half-duplex configuration including at least a PDCCH on a downlink frequency and an uplink short burst on an uplink frequency, and each slot associated with a HARQ timeline. The UE may determine a direction for a slot. The UE may transmit or receive according to the direction for the slot and the half-duplex configuration.
