    Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. Control information used to preschedule communication resources may be received and communications may be performed based on the control information using a prescheduling technique. A scheduling type used for the control information may be determined using configuration information, an indication included in the control information, or both. A wireless device that is prescheduled communication resources may not start or not restart an inactivity timer based on the received control information. Also, a wireless device that is prescheduled communication resources may not start a retransmission timer based on the received control information. Additionally, a wireless device that is prescheduled communication resources may also refrain from transmitting a scheduling request based on a duration until a next instance of prescheduled communication resources is expected to occur.

    Abstract: The apparatus of wireless communication may include a transmitter connected to a receiver through a split carrier including a first carrier and a second carrier, and the transmitter may be configured to schedule transmission data at PDCP level by splitting the transmission data to first packets and second packets based on a relative scheduling delay between the first carrier and the second carrier, and scheduling the first packets and the second packets on different links based on a scheduling proportion, and transmit the first packets via the first carrier and the second packets via the second carrier. The transmitter may sequentially transmit the transmission data starting at an offset as the second packets to a second RLC level associated with the second carrier, wherein the offset is determined based on the relative scheduling delay.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may associate, at a first protocol layer, a first sequence number to a data packet to perform integrity protection on at least a portion of the data packet. The transmitting device may associate, at the first protocol layer, a second sequence number to the data packet for wireless transmission to a receiving device. The transmitting device may indicate an offset between the first sequence number and the second sequence number in the data packet. The transmitting device may transmit the data packet to a second protocol layer for wireless transmission to the receiving device, the second protocol layer being a lower layer than the first protocol layer.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect a trigger for transmitting a buffer status report (BSR). The UE may transmit, to a base station, a long BSR for a single logical channel group (LCG) with data to be transmitted based at least in part on at least one of a determination that a current buffer size for the single LCG is greater than a maximum buffer size indication in a short BSR or a determination that a current achievable uplink throughput using the short BSR is less than a configured uplink throughput. Numerous other aspects are described.
