Abstract: Some techniques described herein provide autonomous modification of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a grant for a transmission by a user equipment UE. For example, the UE may receive a grant (e.g., a configured grant) indicating a resource allocation and a first MCS for a transmission on the resource allocation. The UE may use the resource allocation for a transmission of a number of transport blocks (e.g., one or more transport blocks), and may use a second MCS, different than the first MCS, for the transmission. In some examples, the second MCS may be a lower MCS, associated with a lower modulation scheme and/or code rate, than the first MCS. Thus, a per-resource-block power consumption of the transmission is decreased by using the second MCS, which provides power savings while reducing or eliminating padding of the uplink communication.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for cyclic prefix (CP) optimization and adaptation. Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first communications device. The method generally includes determining a first CP length for communicating with a second communications device based on at least one of: an energy charging requirement of the first communications device or the second communications device or a security requirement for communications between the first communications device and the second communications device, and communicating, with the second communications device, a first signal over a first symbol, wherein the first signal comprises a first CP having the first CP length.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a relay user equipment (UE) may transmit control signaling indicating a set of sidelink resources for transmission of one or more delay status reports (DSRs) from one or more remote UEs to the relay UE. The relay UE may receive, via the set of sidelink resources, a first sidelink message including a first DSR from a first remote UE, a second DSR from a second remote UE, or both, where the first DSR is associated with a first logical channel between the first remote UE and a network entity and the second DSR is associated with a second logical channel between the second remote UE and the network entity. Based on receiving the DSRs, the relay UE may transmit, to the network entity via uplink resources, an uplink message including the first DSR and the second DSR.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For instance, a first wireless device may receive, from a second wireless device, a first message, the first message including one or more first information blocks encoded based on a first key. The first wireless device may transmit, to the second wireless device, an indication that the one or more first information blocks have been successfully decoded. The first wireless device may communicate, with the second wireless device, a second message, where the second message includes information that is encoded based on a second key that is derived from at least a portion of the decoded one or more first information blocks.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a plurality of downlink transmissions from a base station. The UE may identify a channel state information (CSI) trigger event. The UE may transmit an accumulated CSI report comprising CSI for each downlink transmission of the plurality of downlink transmissions in accordance with the CSI trigger event, wherein a quantization level of the CSI for each downlink transmission in the accumulated CSI report is based at least in part on a time between the downlink transmission and the CSI trigger event.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for communicating with an energy harvesting (EH) user equipment (UE). The EH UE may have limited power available for communications depending on an energy mode of the EH UE. The EH UE transmits an indication of an EH communication parameter to a scheduling device. The EH communication parameter may be a maximum time-frequency resource size for one or more physical channels during a time period based on an energy mode of the UE for the time period. The scheduling device schedules the UE transmit or receive a signal satisfying the maximum time-frequency resource size on the one or more physical channels. In some implementations, the scheduling device or another network device may provide radio frequency energy that the EH UE may harvest to power the EH UE for the communications.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a network node, a first message indicating a set of channel state information (CSI) report configurations and a corresponding set of configuration identifiers (IDs). Each of the set of CSI report configurations may be associated with a respective one of set of CSI reports and a respective ID of the set of configuration IDs. The method also includes transmitting, to the network node, a second message indicating one or more used configuration IDs. The method further includes transmitting, to the network node, a first subset of CSI reports associated with the one or more used configuration IDs. One or more of the first subset of CSI reports may be reallocated resources associated with a second subset of CSI reports. Each of the second subset of CSI reports may be associated with an unused configuration ID.
