Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, configuration information indicating a wake-up signal (WUS) configuration associated with a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, wherein the WU'S configuration indicates one or more WUS occasions. The UE may identify one or more conditions. The UE may refrain from monitoring at least one WUS occasion, from the one or more WUS occasions, based at least in part on the identification of the one or more conditions. The UE may monitor one or more resources during an on duration associated with the DRX cycle. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for providing improved power efficiency during DRX wake-up are disclosed. An example method of wireless communication at a UE includes receiving a WUS from a base station while performing a DRX cycle, the WUS indicating data for transmission to the UE. The example method also includes at least one receiving a downlink reference signal or transmitting an uplink reference signal based on the WUS and prior to reception of the data, the uplink reference signal transmitted or the downlink reference signal received during an on-duration of the DRX cycle and in response to receiving the WUS. The example method also includes sending a CSI report to the base station based on the WUS and prior to the receiving of the data. The example method also includes receiving the data following the respective receiving or transmitting of the downlink reference signal or uplink reference signal.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to an uplink transmission cancellation mechanism that determines processing time for UEs configured with mixed processing capabilities are described. Specifically, methods and systems are provided for a UE to determine which processing capability to rely on to determine the minimum processing time for cancellation. For example, when a UE is configured with a faster processing capability and a slower processing capability, the UE may be configured to always rely on the faster, or the slower processing capability. Alternatively, the UE may be configured to consider factors such as the uplink channel type, uplink channel priority, the cause of the cancellation, the priority of uplink grant, or any combination thereof, to determine whether to rely on the faster or the slower capability to obtain the minimum processing time for cancellation.

Abstract: A UE may determine a number of resources granted for uplink or downlink communication in a processing window. The resources may include uplink resources or downlink resources and the processing windows may include a predetermined number of subframes. For uplink (UL) transmissions, this may include determining a number of transport block bits, resource blocks, or other resources scheduled in one or more first UL channel grants for a first UL channel, and determining a number of such resources scheduled in a second UL grant for a second UL channel. For downlink (DL) transmissions, the determining may include determining a number of resources received on a first DL channel in each subframe of a set of subframes, and determining a number of resources received on a second DL channel. The determined number of UL or DL resources may be compared to a corresponding threshold which his based on the UE capabilities and processed in accordance a result of the comparison. These and additional aspects are described herein.

Abstract: Techniques for transmitting data with persistent interference mitigation in a wireless communication system are described. A station (e.g., a base station or a terminal) may observe high interference and may send a request to reduce interference to interfering stations. The request may be valid for a time period covering multiple response periods. Each interfering station may grant or dismiss the request in each response period, may dismiss the request by transmitting at full power, and may grant the request by transmitting at lower than full power. The station may receive a response from each interfering station indicating grant or dismissal of the request by that interfering station in each response period. The station may estimate SINR based on the response received from each interfering station and may exchange data with another station based on the estimated SINR. Persistent interference mitigation may reduce signaling overhead and improve resource utilization and performance.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.
