    Abstract: A power conditioner includes first and second power conversion portions, a smoothing capacitor, and an auxiliary power supply. The first power conversion portion is connected to a DC system. The second power conversion portion is connected to an AC system. The capacitor is connected between wires of an intermediate bus which connects input/output terminals of the first power conversion portion and the second power conversion portion. The auxiliary power supply receives commercial power and generates an auxiliary charge voltage to be applied to the capacitor. The first power conversion portion converts DC power of the storage battery to a first DC voltage and outputs the first DC voltage to the intermediate bus. The second power conversion portion converts a voltage of the capacitor to an AC voltage and outputs the AC voltage to the AC system. The auxiliary charge voltage is lower than the first DC voltage.

    Abstract: An arc detection system includes an obtainer and a determiner. The obtainer obtains a measurement result for current flowing in a power supply line to which power is supplied from a DC power source. The determiner determines, based on a component of a specific frequency band in the measurement result for the current obtained by the obtainer, whether an arc fault has occurred. The determiner determines that the arc fault has occurred when a specific time for which the component of the specific frequency band is at least a threshold is longer than an occurrence time in which an arc can occur when a device is attached to or detached from the power supply line.

    Abstract: An arc detection device is used in a system including one or more power sources, a plurality of converters, and a plurality of load devices. The one or more power sources and the plurality of converters are connected to each other by a plurality of power lines. The plurality of converters and the plurality of load devices are connected to each other by a plurality of power lines. The arc detection device includes: an electric current detector that includes a magnetic core through which two or more power lines included in the plurality of power lines extend, and detects combined currents flowing through the two or more power lines according to the magnetic field produced at the magnetic core; and an arc determiner that determines, on the basis of the combined currents detected by the electric current detector, whether an electric arc has occurred.

    Abstract: Connector for electrical connection includes coupler, cable, switch mechanism, failure detector and transmitter. Coupler is removably inserted in and connected to reception side connector provided in machine which is equipped with storage battery. Cable includes two or more electric wires including power line configured to be electrically connected to reception side connector via coupler. Cable is connected to device that performs at least one of supplying power to machine and receiving power from machine. Switch mechanism opens and closes electrical circuit between coupler and power line. Failure detector detects occurrence of failure of coupler. Transmitter transmits detection result of failure detector to device through at least one first electric wire of the two or more electric wires. Switch mechanism opens and closes the electrical circuit in accordance with control signal transmitted through first electric wire.

    Abstract: A control circuit converts power by controlling a phase difference between a switching phase of a plurality of switching elements of a first bridge circuit and a switching phase of a plurality of switching elements of a second bridge circuit such that the control circuit controls the phase difference to be smaller to reduce the output power. When the phase difference reaches a predefined lower limit value in a step-down mode of stepping down the input power, the control circuit controls an on-time of the plurality of switching elements of the second bridge circuit to be shorter while the phase difference is fixed at the lower limit value.
