    Abstract: Disclosed is a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; and an electrolyte solution. The negative electrode contains a negative electrode active material that is capable of electrochemically absorbing and desorbing lithium. The negative electrode active material contains a lithium silicate phase and silicon particles that are dispersed in the lithium silicate phase. The lithium silicate phase is an oxide phase that contains lithium, silicon, and oxygen. The atomic ratio O/Si of oxygen relative to silicon in the lithium silicate phase is greater than 2 and less than 4. The electrolyte solution contains a halogenated benzene. The amount of halogenated benzene contained in the electrolyte solution is 1 ppm or more and 500 ppm or less.

The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material capable of electrochemically absorbing and releasing lithium ions, and the negative electrode active material includes a first composite material containing a silicate phase and silicon particles dispersed in the silicate phase. The silicate phase includes at least one of an alkali metal and an alkaline earth metal. The content of the silicon particles in the first composite material is 30 mass % or more and 80 mass % or less. The electrolyte includes lithium fluorosulfonate.

    Abstract: A positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode material, a binder, and a thickener, and the negative electrode material includes a lithium silicate phase, and Si particles dispersed in the lithium silicate phase. The ratio of the Si particles in the negative electrode material is 30 mass % or more. The binder includes a poly(meth)acrylic acid, the thickener includes a carboxyalkyl cellulose, and the amount of the poly(meth)acrylic acid relative to 100 parts by mass of the negative electrode material is 0.1 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a lithium salt, a non-aqueous solvent, and an acid that exhibits a pKa of 1 to 30 in water at 25° C. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery can suppress the generation of gas during high-temperature storage, and secure excellent cycle characteristics.

    Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode, a separator, a negative electrode facing the positive electrode with the separator interposed therebetween, and an electrolytic solution containing a solvent and an electrolyte.
