Abstract: A display device has a movable screen that is movable in a movement direction, a drive controller, a projector, and a position detector. The drive controller moves the movable screen relative to a reference position set at a prescribed position in a movement range of the movable screen. The projector performs drawing on the movable screen by irradiating the movable screen with light used for scanning the movable screen and projects a virtual image onto a target space based on light that passes through the movable screen. The position detector executes position detection processing for detecting that the movable screen is located at a detection position set in relation to the prescribed position. The position detector moves the movable screen and executes the position detection processing in a non-display period in which the movable screen is not irradiated with light from the projector.

Abstract: An image display system includes: a light source driver configured to supply, to a light source, a drive current including a first current and a second current; a processor configured to output the set value of the first current to the light source driver; and a corrector configured to perform a correction process on the first current. The processor is configured to set, based on a correspondence relationship between the gradation value and the current value of the first current, the set value of the first current to a current value determined with reference to the correspondence relationship when the gradation value is in a second gradation range in which numerical values are smaller than numerical values in the first gradation range, the correction process correcting the correspondence relationship such that a difference between a measured intensity and a target intensity of the light source falls within a prescribed range.

Abstract: A video display system includes: a screen on which an mage for displaying a virtual image is projected; a light source that emits laser light; a scanner that projects the image onto the screen by biaxially scanning the laser light onto the screen; and a controller that generates the image and controls the light source using an image signal for causing the generated image to be projected onto the screen by the laser light, and receives an input of sensing information measured using a temperature sensor and controls the scanner in accordance with the input sensing information. When the sensing information indicates a temperature outside a given temperature range, the controller causes the scanner to reduce an amplitude of the biaxial scanning in at least one axial direction to a smaller value than when the sensing information indicates a second brightness or a temperature within the given temperature range.

Abstract: The image display system includes a processing unit and a driving unit. The processing unit is configured to receive an image signal indicative of an instruction value of luminance of a light source. The driving unit is configured to supply a drive current to the light source in accordance with the instruction value indicated by the image signal received by the processing unit. The driving unit includes a shaping circuit and an adjusting unit. The shaping circuit includes a plurality of D/A converters and an arithmetic unit. The arithmetic unit is configured to output the drive current to the light source based on a computation result of analog signals outputted from the plurality of D/A converters. The adjusting unit is configured to determine values of digital signals inputted into the plurality of D/A converters of the shaping circuit in accordance with the instruction value.

Abstract: A display system according to an aspect includes a screen, a drive control unit, and a projection unit. The drive control unit has the screen moved in a movement direction. The projection unit renders an image on the screen by irradiating the screen with a light beam that scans the screen and projects a virtual image onto a projection plane with the light beam transmitted through the screen. The drive control unit has the screen moved in the movement direction such that an optical path leading to a rendering point on the screen varies its length according to a tilt angle defined by the projection plane with respect to a reference plane.
