    摘要: An image display apparatus makes the emission angle range of emitted light bilaterally symmetrical, at low cost, irrespective of the material refractive index of a prism composing a liquid crystal prism. The image display apparatus includes an image display panel , a backlight device located on a back surface side of the image display panel, a liquid crystal prism element located between the image display panel and the backlight device, an offset optical element located between the image display panel and the backlight device and configured to deflect light incident thereon, a position detection section configured to detect a viewing position of a viewer, and a control section configured to control a voltage applied to a liquid crystal prism element, in accordance with the viewing position detected by the position detection section.

    摘要: An image display apparatus according to the present disclosure includes: an image display panel; a backlight device; a first optical element located between the image display panel and the backlight device and configured to deflect a light incident thereon; a second optical element located between the first optical element and the image display panel and configured to change a deflection angle of emitted light according to a voltage applied thereto; a plurality of first lenses located between the first optical element and the backlight device; a plurality of second lenses located between the second optical element and the image display panel; a position detection section configured to detect a viewing position of a viewer; and a control section configured to control the voltage applied to the second optical element, according to the detected viewing position. The first lenses and the second lenses constitute an afocal optical system.

    摘要: The display control system performs display control according to a position indicated by a pointer on a display panel. The display panel includes pixel regions defined by a black matrix, and a positional information pattern showing a plan position is formed in the display panel. The pointer includes a reader configured to capture an image which is at the indicated position and includes the positional information pattern. The optical system of the reader is formed to have a low resolution so that the black matrix of the display panel is removed.

    摘要: A display device having a display surface includes a plurality of black lines defining a plurality of pixels; and a plurality of information patterns arranged so as to overlap the display surface and each representing information regarding a position thereof on the display surface. Each information pattern is formed by using a plurality of marks provided so as to overlap the pixels, and each mark is formed from a material that transmits visible light and absorbs or diffusedly reflects infrared light. A length of each mark in a width direction of the thickest black lines among the black lines defining the pixel overlapped by the mark is larger than a width of each thickest black line.
