Abstract: A method of culturing cells including: dividing a culture area into a center area and a plurality of peripheral areas, and designating the center area and the plurality of peripheral areas as measurement positions; calculating: a confluent rate at each of the measurement positions designated; and an average confluent rate which is an average of sum of the confluent rates at the measurement positions designated, the confluent rate being defined as a proportion of an area occupied by cells in a designated area; and determining a timing to perform a subculture of the cells, based on the confluent rate, wherein the determining of the timing further includes determining when the average confluent rate is smaller than a first threshold value, the confluent rate of the center area is larger than a second threshold value, and the second threshold value is larger than the first threshold value.

Abstract: A robot and a method for controlling the robot are provided, each of which prevents the robot from hitting an obstacle when autonomous movement of the robot is controlled using an OSS. The method for controlling a robot including a plurality of rangefinder sensors, the robot being configured to autonomously move based on a map created using one or more measurement data portions of the plurality of rangefinder sensors. The method includes: deleting some of the one or more measurement data portions of the plurality of rangefinder sensors; integrating the one or more measurement data portions remaining after the deleting into an integrated measurement data portion; and determining the integrated measurement data portion to be a measurement data portion of one or more virtual rangefinder sensors which are fewer in number than the number of the plurality of rangefinder sensors.

The first vessel supplying part has a first lid capable of entirely covering the first vessel supplying part. The first vessel has no lid. The second vessel supplying part has no lid. The second vessel has a second lid.

A moving vehicle on which a person rides and which stops moving if the distance to an object is equal to or less than a first predetermined value, said moving vehicle comprising: a sensor (124) for detecting the distance; a determiner (125) for determining, if the distance is equal to or less than a second predetermined value smaller than the first predetermined value, a state in which the field of view of the sensor (124) is blocked due to the clothing covering the sensor (124); and a notifier (128) that, if said state is determined by the determiner (125), issues a notification.

Abstract: According to a control method for an electric vehicle of the present invention, when an electric vehicle (100) moves at a first velocity and approaches an object (200) on the basis of instructed information, the electric vehicle (100) is temporarily stopped at a position at which the distance between the electric vehicle (100) and the object (200) is a first stopping distance, after which the velocity is switched to a second velocity that is slower than the first velocity, the electric vehicle (100) is caused to approach the object (200), and the electric vehicle (100) is stopped at position at which the distance between the electric vehicle (100) and the object (200) is a second stopping distance that is shorter than the first stopping distance.
