Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for prompting a patient to take a blood glucose management action. A diabetes management application on a mobile device can receive diabetes-related information from the mobile device. The diabetes management application can identify a blood glucose management action prompt based on a comparison of the received diabetes-related information to one or more predetermined prompt criteria. The diabetes management application can generate a blood glucose management action prompt based on the blood glucose management action prompt condition. The diabetes management application can present the blood glucose management action prompt to the patient on a user interface of the mobile device.

A first test strip channel provided in the base can have a main channel portion extending generally parallel with the base plane, and an angled channel portion that forms an angle with the main channel portion between 5 degrees and 90 degrees. The first test strip channel can house a biological test strip oriented so that a meter connecting end of the biological test strip is adjacent to the main channel portion and a sample end of the biological test strip is adjacent to the angled channel portion.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and processes are disclosed herein relating to the collection, transmission, and/or use of physiological condition information (e.g., blood glucose information) for a remote healthcare determination. One embodiment includes a physiological condition information system. This system embodiment includes a physiological condition management device and a remote server. The physiological condition management device can be at a first location (e.g., accompanying a patient at the first location) and the remote server can be at a second location that is different from the first location. The physiological condition management device and remote server can be in data communication over a transmission link. The physiological condition management device is configured to collect physiological condition information associated with the patient and send this information over the transmission link to the remote server. Upon receiving the physiological condition information, the remote server is configured to send a data communication to a remote healthcare provider.
