摘要: The invention generally relates to medical imaging systems that instantly and/or automatically detect borders. Embodiments of the invention provide an imaging system that automatically detects a border at a location within a vessel in response only to navigational input moving the image to that location. In some embodiments, systems and methods of the invention operate such that when a doctor moves an imaging catheter to a new location with in tissue, the system essentially instantly finds, and optionally displays, the border(s), calculates an occlusion, or both.

The processor circuit automatically segments the body lumen into a plurality of segments based on the physiology measurements. The workflow guidance may include providing selectable options on a display device to a user including a selectable option to select a target vessel and a prompt to move an intravascular imaging device within the selected target vessel. Imaging data is received from the intravascular imaging device within the selected target vessel. The workflow guidance may be used to identify an area of interest within the selected target vessel and automatically display vessel measurements corresponding with the area of interest on the display device.

摘要: A system includes a processor circuit in communication with an extraluminal imaging device and an intraluminal imaging device. The processor circuit obtains an enhanced stent deployment extraluminal image and a plurality of intraluminal images. The enhanced stent deployment extraluminal image and the each of the plurality of intraluminal images are associated with locations along a pathway. The pathway is overlaid over an extraluminal image. Based on the locations of the pathway, the processor circuit coregisters the plurality of intraluminal images to the enhanced stent deployment extraluminal image and outputs a screen display of one of the plurality of intraluminal images and the enhanced stent deployment extraluminal image with an indicator identifying the location at which the displayed intraluminal image was obtained. The processor circuit may also determine an expansion score for intraluminal images depicting the stent and identify regions of the stent corresponding to an expansions score below a threshold.

摘要: A system includes a processor circuit that receives an extraluminal image obtained without contrast. The processor circuit receives multiple additional extraluminal images obtained without contrast as an intraluminal device is moved through a body lumen of a patient. The locations of the intraluminal device are tracked and used to form a curve. The curve is overlaid over one of the extraluminal images obtained without contrast. The curve and extraluminal image are displayed to a user and modified or confirmed. The intraluminal data points acquired by the intraluminal device are then co-registered to the extraluminal image. The extraluminal image and intraluminal data are displayed to the user.

摘要: A system includes a processor circuit in communication with an intraluminal imaging device and a laser atherectomy device. An intraluminal imaging procedure is performed within a lumen with the intraluminal imaging device. The processor circuit receives the intraluminal images acquired. The intraluminal images are analyzed to determine a tissue classification for each intraluminal image. One or more laser atherectomy settings are determined for each intraluminal image based on the tissue classification. The intraluminal images and corresponding tissue classifications and laser atherectomy settings are then associated with the location at which each intraluminal image was acquired along the lumen. A laser atherectomy procedure is then performed within the same lumen. As the laser atherectomy device is moved to positions within the vessel, the laser atherectomy setting associated with each position is retrieved from the memory and automatically applied to the laser atherectomy device.

摘要: A system includes a processor circuit that receives intraluminal images of a body lumen. The processor circuit identifies a stent edge within the intraluminal images and calculates a distance between the stent edge and the vessel wall. The processor circuit additionally compares the distance between the stent edge and the vessel for the intraluminal images to a threshold distance and identifies which intraluminal images correspond to a distance exceeding the threshold. The processor circuit further outputs to a display a longitudinal view of the body lumen identifying locations along the stent at which the distance between the stent and the vessel wall exceeds the threshold distance.

The method includes outputting, to a touch-sensitive display of a bedside controller, a screen display including: a visual representation of a first pressure ratio of pressure measurements obtained by first and second instruments positioned within a vessel while the second instrument is moved from a distal position to a proximal position relative a stenosis and the first instrument remains stationary; and a first proximal pressure waveform and a first distal pressure waveform; receiving, through the touch-sensitive display of the bedside controller, a user touch input on the first proximal pressure waveform and/or the first distal pressure waveform identifying a time at which pressure measurements were obtained; and modifying the screen display, in response to the user touch input, to further include a visual representation of the obtained pressure measurements corresponding to the identified time.

The system may also be configured to automatically measure, display, and compare measurements of features, including misalignment or malapposition of a stent, the diameter and area of the stent at various locations along the stent, as well as the diameter and area of the lumen before the stent is positioned.
