Abstract: A driving assistance apparatus performs a delinquent driving detection process. The delinquent driving detection process includes: inquiring of an external database, using information on one or more other vehicles in a vicinity of the vehicle and/or area information including a point where the vehicle is positioned, about whether there is a delinquent driving vehicle that has performed delinquent driving among the one or more other vehicles; detecting presence or absence of delinquent driving by the one or more other vehicles based on an inquiry result from the database; generating, in response to detection of the presence of the delinquent driving, delinquent driving vehicle information including ID information of a delinquent driving vehicle that performs the delinquent driving and traveling trajectory information of the delinquent driving vehicle and the vehicle; and requesting the database that the delinquent driving vehicle information be registered or updated.

Abstract: A self-driving control device mountable on a vehicle configured to communicate with a server device. The self-driving control device includes: a processor; and a memory including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: generating a route to a destination; controlling traveling during self-driving of the vehicle to the destination based on information of the route to the destination; and receiving information of a guidance route to a place satisfying the demand transmitted from the server device in response to input operation of a demand on an order of a user. In generating the route to the destination, the processor generates information of a route obtained by merging the guidance route with the route to the destination as the information of the route to the destination in response to approval operation of the user with respect to the place.

Abstract: A synchronization system for synchronizing operations of an autonomous vehicle (AV) and a restaurant system of a restaurant is provided. The AV transmits to the restaurant system, order data of an order placed via the AV and estimated time of arrival (ETA) by the AV. The restaurant system, generates a food preparation/delivery (FPD) process for execution by at least one resource of the restaurant, and generates at least one scheduled instruction to the at least one resource of the restaurant for executing the at least one FPD process. The restaurant system further determines, based on progress status of the at least one FPD process being executed, an estimated order completion time for the order. The synchronization system controls the AV and the restaurant system to minimize a difference between the ETA and the estimated order completion time.

Abstract: A method is provided for detecting a bullying event. The method includes collecting, using a plurality of autonomous vehicle (AV) sensors provided on the AV, sensor data of an interaction between the AV and another vehicle. Once collected, the collected sensor data is stored in a memory, and a bullying signature is retrieved from the memory. The method further includes comparing, via a processor, the collected sensor data and attributes of the bullying signature for determining whether a bullying event has been detected. When a similarity between the collected sensor data and the attributes of the bullying signature is determined to be above a predetermined threshold, the method determines that the collected sensor data corresponds to a bullying event. In response to the detection, the method generates a bullying event flag for the bullying event.

Abstract: A system and method for updating map data for updating map data for an autonomous vehicle (AV) is provided. The method includes collecting, using one or a plurality of AV sensors of a first AV, sensor data, and comparing the sensor data collected against map data for determining a presence of potential changed data. The method further includes generating a proof of work (PoW) block including the potential changed data, and collecting, using one or a plurality of AV sensors of a second AV, first verification sensor data. The potential changed data is then compared with the first verification sensor data for generating a first verified map block based on the first verification sensor data, and adding the first verified map block to a first verified map blockchain.
