Abstract: An imaging device according to the present disclosure includes a lens unit, a substrate, a housing, and a shield. The lens unit includes a lens barrel in which a lens is disposed. The substrate is disposed on an emission side of light from the lens barrel. The substrate includes a first surface on which an imaging element receiving the light is mounted. The housing houses the lens unit and the substrate. The shield is provided in the housing to face the first surface of the substrate.

Abstract: An in-vehicle camera includes a lens barrel including at least one lens and being tubular, an imaging element disposed on the circuit board and on an optical axis of the at least one lens, a ring member made of a first resin having a first light transmittance, and disposed to protrude in a direction away from the optical axis over an entire periphery of the lens barrel, and a housing portion a part of which has a tubular shape, and one end surface of the tubular shape is made of a second resin having a second light transmittance smaller than the first light transmittance. The in-vehicle camera further includes a third resin disposed on an inner side of the tubular shape between the ring member and the imaging element in a direction of the optical axis, and having a third light transmittance smaller than the first light transmittance.

Abstract: A vehicular camera includes a lens barrel portion accommodating a lens, a welding ring disposed on an outer periphery of the lens barrel portion, a circuit board, an imaging element mounted on the circuit board, and a housing accommodating the imaging element and the circuit board. The welding ring includes a third surface, a fourth surface opposite to the third surface, and at least three protrusions. At least an end surface of the housing is fixed to a first fixing region of the fourth surface of the welding ring. On the third surface of the welding ring, each of the at least three protrusions of the welding ring is disposed closer to the lens barrel portion than a first fixing-corresponding region of the third surface corresponding to the first fixing region of the fourth surface.

At least a first side surface portion, a second side surface portion, a third side surface portion, and a fourth side surface portion of the first shield are formed by a contiguously curved surface, and at least the first side surface portion, the second side surface portion, the third side surface portion, the fourth side surface portion, the first bottom surface portion, the connection portion, and the second bottom surface portion are formed by a contiguously curved surface.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an imaging module is disclosed. The method includes: producing a housing of the imaging module, the producing including forming a through hole in a part of the housing to connect outer/inner surfaces of the housing; applying an adhesive to the outer surface of the housing in a position where a lens barrel of the imaging module is to be attached, the adhesive having at least a property of being cured by a heat treatment; attaching the lens barrel to the housing with the applied adhesive; curing the adhesive by applying a heat treatment to the housing to which the lens barrel has been attached; and sealing, after the heat treatment, an opening of the through hole with a sealing member such that the opening on the outer surface of the housing is covered by the sealing member.
