Abstract: A pericardial-cavity observing method including: a step of inserting an endoscope sheath and an endoscope into a space between the heart and the pericardium; a step of disposing a protruding portion closer to the pericardium than an optical member is so that an angle that is formed between a centerline that passes through a center of the protruding portion and a center of the optical member and a tangent of the pericardium that passes through a foot of a perpendicular line drawn, from the center of the optical member of the endoscope, to the pericardium sagging down from the protruding portion toward the heart becomes greater than an angle formed between the centerline and an external common tangent of the protruding portion and the optical member; and a step of observing the heart by means of the endoscope.

Abstract: A stent for medical use includes: a main body which includes a first rigid portion formed in a tubular shape along a longitudinal axis and having a predetermined rigidity with respect to a compression force exerted in a radial direction and a second rigid portion having a rigidity less than that of the first rigid portion, the second rigid portion which is substantially coaxial with and continues to a proximal end of the first rigid portion, and the second rigid portion which formed in a tubular shape along the longitudinal axis; and a gripping target region which is provided on an outer circumferential surface of the second rigid portion and is gripped by a gripping tool when the main body is led into a channel of an endoscope.

Abstract: A stent includes a major axis member which has an internal space extending from a front end portion toward a base end portion, first opening section provided at the front end portion to communicate with the internal space, and second opening section provided at the base end portion to communicate with the internal space, and inflow prevention section which has an inflow prevention surface covering the second opening section with a gap with respect to the second opening section, wherein a first edge section of the inflow prevention surface is fixed to the major axis member closer to a base end than the second opening section, and a second edge section of the inflow prevention surface is disposed closer to a front end than the second opening section and extends from a side surface of the major axis member toward a position spaced apart therefrom outward in a radial direction.
