    Abstract: An image pickup system includes an image pickup unit and a confirmation unit that displays a picked-up image transmitted from the image pickup unit, the image pickup unit and the confirmation unit being separable from each other, and the image pickup system is provided with: a first motion determination section that determines a motion of the image pickup unit; and a control section that instructs the image pickup unit to perform continuous shooting based on a determination result by the first motion determination section when the image pickup unit and the confirmation unit are separated from each other, which enables photographing without missing a photo opportunity.
