Abstract: An image pickup apparatus is an image pickup apparatus capable of acquiring an image of an object in gas and in liquid, the image pickup apparatus including: an image pickup optical system; an image pickup device; a controlling portion configured to make an in-gas judgment if a vignetting portion is detected in an image signal and make an in-liquid judgment if a vignetting portion is not detected in the image signal; and a display data generating portion configured to generate certain display data corresponding to in-gas image pickup if the in-gas judgment is made and generate other display data corresponding to in-liquid image pickup if the in-liquid judgment is made.

Abstract: An inspection device for image pickup apparatus includes: an image pickup apparatus including an image pickup device inside a first lens barrel; an angle-of-view conversion optical member made of a translucent resin member and including a first surface and a second surface that is an opposite surface of the first surface, the first surface being configured to closely contact a surface of a distal end lens, the surface of the distal end lens being exposed outside of the first lens barrel; a test chart including a chart surface provided so as to closely contact the second surface, and an image of the chart surface being picked up by the image pickup apparatus through the angle-of-view conversion optical member, and an illumination instrument that illuminates the chart surface.

Abstract: An endoscope apparatus includes an image pickup unit comprising a plurality of image pickup devices and an optical path dividing member for dividing an entering light beam into a plurality of optical paths, wherein respective optical path lengths are different from one another; a contrast comparing member for comparing contrasts of a plurality of images; an image selecting member for selecting and outputting only one image signal from one image pickup device among the plurality of image pickup devices, on a basis of comparison result by the contrast comparing member; and a driving member for moving a movable lens so that a difference among the contrasts of the plurality of images is largest, wherein a part of an objective lens is configured to be movable in an optical axis direction.
