The present invention discloses a method for a source driver, for preventing image sticking in a display panel coupled to the source driver. The source driver includes a first output driver and a second output driver having different polarities. The first output driver is configured with a first driving capability and the second output driver is configured with a second driving capability. The method includes the steps of: obtaining an effective voltage of a pixel in the display panel; and adjusting the second driving capability of the second output driver to be identical to the first driving capability of the first output driver, to allow the adjusted second driving capability to drive the effective voltage to reach a level having the same magnitude as a level of the effective voltage driven by the first source driver with the same variation of display data.

The source driver monitors a data rate of a pixel packet in an active area of a frame, synchronizes a clock according to the data rate to generate a synchronized clock, and clocks data in the pixel packet using the synchronized clock.

The control circuit ends a normal mode and enter a swing boost mode when quality of data signal is detected to be deteriorated in the normal mode. A timing controller and an operation method thereof are provided. The timing controller includes a transmitter circuit and a control circuit. The control circuit ends a normal mode to enter a swing boost mode when a lock signal fed back by a source driving circuit indicates that quality of data signal is deteriorated in the normal mode. In the swing boost mode, the control circuit controls the transmitter circuit to boost the swing of the data signal from a normal level to a high level. The control circuit ends the swing boost mode and enters a clock training mode when the source driving circuit causes loss of lock to the data signal in the swing boost mode. In the clock training mode, the control circuit controls the transmitter circuit to employ a clock training data string as the data signal to transmit to the source driving circuit.

The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a signal transmission method and apparatus for a display device, and a display device. The method includes: adjusting a data rate for signal transmission within a blanking time; and performing signal transmission within an active time by using the data rate adjusted within the blanking time; wherein a signal transmission period of the display device includes the blanking time and the active time. Through the method of the present disclosure, the range of data rate used for signal transmission could be significantly expanded, more abundant data rate transmission requirements could be met, Electro Magnetic Interference during signal transmission could be reduced, and the quality of pictures displayed on the display device could be guaranteed.
