The adaptive wearable device provides improved reliability in data due to the adaptive structure and can be made waterproof with the incorporation of a polymer material. In the context of a wearable device, an apparatus is provided that includes a support structure configured to at least partially enclose the torso or an appendage of a user, a spring module disposed on the support structure, a first section of flexible circuitry disposed on the spring module and a first sensor disposed on the spring module and configured to monitor the user.
