摘要: A method for monitoring the condition of at least one cell of a battery, used in an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. The battery is connected to a power converter to supply electrical power to an electrical load. The method includes the steps of: controlling the power converter to vary the input impedance of the power converter to draw a varying current from the cell; sensing the voltage across the cell and the current drawn in response to varying the impedance of the power converter; calculating from the sensed voltage and current the complex impedance of the cell; and comparing the calculated complex impedance with information indicative of a correlation between (i) the complex impedance and (ii) information indicative of the condition of the cell, to give an indication of the condition of the cell. The varying current may be actively varied or passively varied.

摘要: Devices, systems and methods for debris removal are provided comprising a flexible chute having a mouth, a body, and an exit. The flexible material can be collapsible. The flexible material is rip-stop nylon. When the chute is used, a user can take the chute in a collapsed form and scale a tree for pruning. Upon reaching a top area of the tree, the user secures the chute to the tree and allows the body and exit portions to deploy by releasing those sections. Gravity allows the body and exit portions to fall to towards the ground. As debris is removed from the tree, it is placed into the mouth and passes through the body and out exit. If desired the exit can be placed in other desired locations such as proximate to a wood chipping device for shredding debris or proximate to a truck bed, dump box or trailer for catching the debris as it exits the chute. Thus, the chute can safely collect, control and direct debris generated from pruning vegetation.

摘要: A solid oxide fuel cell component (12) comprises a plurality of solid oxide fuel cells (24) arranged in spaced apart relationship, and in electrical series, on a surface of the porous gas permeable support structure (16). Each solid oxide fuel cell (24) comprises a dense gas tight electrolyte member (28), a porous gas permeable first electrode (26) and a porous gas permeable second electrode (30). Each electrolyte (28) is arranged in contact with a corresponding one of the first electrodes (26), each second electrode (30) is arranged in contact with a corresponding one of the electrolytes (28). Each of the first electrodes (26) is arranged in contact with the surface of the support structure (16). The interconnectors (32), the peripheral seal layer (34) and the electrolytes (28) are arranged to encapsulate all of the first electrodes (26) except for the surfaces of the first electrodes (26) in contact with the surface of the support structure (16) to prevent leakage of reactant from the first electrodes (16).

摘要: Fish finding devices, systems and methods, in accordance with the present disclosure comprise a sonar transmitter for transmitting a sonar signal, a sonar receiver for receiving a sonar echo from the reflection of the sonar signal off a marine animal, an underwater camera, a processor for controlling the sonar transmitter, the sonar receiver and the underwater camera, and for processing the sonar echo, and a housing containing the processor and further comprising a display. By combining the forgoing into a single fish finding system, “false positives” are reduced and have the capability of more accurately identifying desired marine animals that are located.
