    摘要: An improved creosote wood preservative that has a light color and that forms a non-sticky crud deposit is prepared from a coal tar creosote. The coal tar creosote is reacted with one or more of the following groups of neutral compounds: paraformaldehyde, trioxane; or nitrobenzene, nitrotoluene, nitroxylene, tris (hydroxymethyl) nitromethane; or aluminum, zinc or sulfur, to produce a reacted creosote. This reacted creosote is distilled to yield a distillate, which is the improved creosote wood preservative, and a pitch residue.

    摘要: An improved creosote wood preservative that has a light color and that forms a non-sticky crud deposit is prepared from a coal tar creosote. The coal tar creosote is distilled to an end temperature in the range of 395.degree. to 410.degree.C. at atmospheric pressure. This distillation produces a distillate and a pitch residue. The distillate is contacted with at least 1% by weight of one or more of the following caustic compounds: alkali metal alcoholates of alkali metal hydroxides to produce the improved creosote wood preservative. The pitch residue from distillation is recovered and it is utilized in the production of various pitch products or in combustion for its fuel value.

The corresponding attachment features may be used with metal fabricated fuel rail assemblies as well as for fuel rail assemblies where the manifold supply tube and the fuel injector sockets are overmolded with a plastic material.

    摘要: A lower filter for a fuel injector includes a disk having an annular shape and including a plurality of filter holes. The disk is positioned upstream of a valve guide of an internal valve assembly without contacting the valve guide. The disk prevents internally generated contaminants contained in fuel flowing through the filter holes from reaching a valve guide area and a sealing area of the internal valve assembly. By installing the lower filter upstream of the valve guide and without contact to the valve guide, interference with the guidance and reciprocal movement of the valve is avoided. Application of the lower filter in fuel injectors may reduce the occurrence of injector failures by reducing the number of stuck open conditions in injectors and by reducing the number of hydro lock engine incidents without interference with the valve guide.

    摘要: An internal lower filter for a fuel injector includes a self-supporting guide guiding a reciprocably activated valve of an internal valve assembly of a fuel injector and a plurality of filter holes formed in said guide filtering fuel flowing through the fuel injector and preventing contaminants contained in the fuel from entering a sealing area of the internal valve assembly. Incorporating the guide filter in accordance with the invention in a fuel injector enables capturing particles or contaminants, generated within the fuel injector during assembly or during operation, before entering the sealing area of an internal valve assembly. Accordingly, failure modes of the injector, such as a stuck open condition that may lead to a hydraulic lock of the engine, can be reduced. By forming the filter holes in a typically used ball guide, no changes are required to the currently used assembly line equipment or the current assembly process.

The hydrocyclone has a first end and a second end remote from the first end. The hydrocyclone further includes at least one inlet in the region of the first end for introducing the feed mixture and at least two outlets with at least one outlet in the region of the second end. The hydrocyclone has in the region of the second end a fixed or moveable flow-modifying element located at or near the hydrocyclone axis and the element is constructed to affect the flow towards the second end of fluid containing a relatively large portion of less dense component but to allow flow past the element towards the second end of the fluid containing a relatively large portion of a more dense component. Preferred geometric and flow parameters for the cyclone are disclosed.
