Abstract: Systems, devices and methods to facilitate wireless interaction between an implantable therapy delivery device and an external transmitter device are provided. In an example, the systems, devices, and methods discussed herein include or use a garment for receiving and positioning an external transmitter device proximal to an implanted device, and the external transmitter device includes a midfield device configured to provide one or more signals to manipulate evanescent fields outside of tissue to generate a propagating and focused field in the tissue. In an example, the garment includes a receptacle configured to receive and retain the external transmitter device near a tissue interface, and the garment further includes a dielectric portion provided between the receptacle and the tissue interface. In an example, the dielectric portion has a relative permittivity that is approximately the same as the relative permittivity of air.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods discussed herein can be for validating a position of a wirelessly powered electrostimulation device while the device is implanted in body tissue. A method can include situating the electrostimulation device in tissue and before an affixation mechanism of the electrostimulation device is deployed to maintain an implanted position of the electrostimulation device, and while electrodes of the device are in contact with the tissue, performing electrical testing of the electrostimulation device to determine whether the electrostimulation from the electrostimulation device evokes a specified response from the body that contains the tissue.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods discussed herein include wireless midfield transmitters and implantable receiver devices. A midfield transmitter can be configured to provide signals outside of tissue that give rise to propagating signals inside of tissue. The present subject matter includes a protection circuit for a transmitter device, a layered transmitter device, an implantable receiver device, implantation and extraction methods, test and assembly methods, and the like. In an example, a protection circuit includes a first control circuit to receive an RF drive signal and conditionally provide an output signal to an antenna. A second control circuit can generate a control signal based on the antenna output signal and/or information about the RF drive signal. A gain circuit can provide the RF drive signal to the first control circuit. The gain circuit can change an amplitude of the RF drive signal based on the control signal from the second control circuit.

Abstract: Generally discussed herein are systems, devices, and methods for providing a therapy or data signal using an implantable device. A method of providing intermittent stimulation by a stimulation system can include providing, by an external device of the stimulation system, radio frequency first signals to an implantable device of the stimulation system, the implantable device including an electrode and the first signals causing the implantable device to provide electrical stimulation through the electrode for a first time duration, determining, at the external device, that the implantable device is out of range of a transmission from the external device, determining, at the external device, that the implantable device is within range of the transmission from the external device, and providing, by an external device of the stimulation system, radio frequency second signals to the implantable device of the stimulation system, the second signals causing the implantable device to provide electrical stimulation through the electrode for a third time duration.
