Abstract:
The present invention provides a spout for use with containers, particularly portable fuel containers. The spout has a slide assembly physically coupled to a proximally positioned plunger. The slide and plunger may be moved in tandem to variably control the flow rate of liquid or fuel through it. The spout may have a main body portion and a nozzle portion, and an exit opening at or near the distal end of the spout. Passageways within the spout are designed to encourage segregated and orderly flows of liquid/fuel and air for control and increased flow rate of liquid/fuel from a container. The spout may further have a holder(s) on the side of the spout for contacting or engaging a structure or surface of a container, tank, etc., being filled, to help hold and properly position the spout to avoid overflow during use. Methods of assembly and operation are also provided.
Abstract:
In a burn-in test configuration wherein a chip board having a plurality of semiconductor chips engages a heat sink board having a plurality of heat sinks. When the boards are operationally engaged, the each semiconductor chip has a heat sink has heat sink spring-loaded against the semiconductor chips. Posts coupled to one board engage posts located on the second board. The engagement of the posts orients and secures the relative positions of the two boards. A clip is provided that secures the relative position of the two boards when the two sets of posts are engaged. To uncouple the two boards, a pressure on the side of the clip permits the two boards to separate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a spout for use with containers, particularly portable fuel containers (PFCs). The spout generally has a slide assembly physically coupled to a proximally positioned plunger such that the slide and plunger may be manually moved in tandem to variably control the flow rate of liquid or fuel through it. Movement of slide assembly in a distal direction opens the spout, whereas movement in a proximal direction closes the spout. The slide assembly may be in a recessed cavity on the top of the spout. The spout may have a main body portion and a nozzle portion, and a side exit opening at or near the distal end of the spout. Passageways within the spout are designed to encourage segregated and orderly flows of liquid/fuel and air for control and increased flow rate of liquid/fuel from the container. Methods of assembly and operation are also provided.
Abstract:
An apparatus for transferring heat during a burn-in procedure comprises a substantially planar base member that includes a plurality of openings extending through the base member, at least one heat sink aligned with each opening, and biasing members connected to the heat sinks for biasing the heat sinks.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a strategy game for producing energy from diverse energy sources in different terrains, which may be a board game or a hardware and/or software application implemented by a computer or electronic device. The board game may include a game board subdivided into territory sections and having a closed loop path of spaces with a plurality of attached industry regions. One or more card holders may be attached to the game board for holding playing cards. A peg board(s), pegs and/or a peg case may be provided for keeping track of industries, and/or currency may be provided, which may be in a currency tray. Among other possible components, the board game may include industry pieces that may be stored on a tray. Methods of making board game components and pieces and/or methods for playing the game, such as via computer hardware and/or software, are further provided.
Abstract:
The present invention provides card holders having a base and a plurality of vertically extending side wall(s) and/or side wall portion(s) that surround an inner card holding space between them and above the base of the holder. The card holder may also have one or more side openings for access to a stack of cards inside the holder, each being defined by pairs of spaced-apart side wall(s) and/or side wall portion(s). The base of a holder may have an elevated portion and one or more inclined portion(s) located on a lateral side(s) of the elevated portion to create at least one vertical gap between a lower edge(s) of a stack of cards in the holder and an inclined portion of the base to facilitate lifting of the stack. A holder may also have one or more slots for receiving card(s). Methods are also provided for making the card holders.
Abstract:
A system for the recovery of data from a failing or failed hard drive including a computer, computer software and a chamber. The computer has a first hard drive and a second hard drive attached thereto. The first hard is the failed or failing hard drive, and the second hard drive is a hard drive to which data may be copied from the first hard drive. The computer software is executed by the computer for copying data contained on the first hard drive to the second hard drive. The chamber encloses at least the first hard drive. The chamber is in communication with the computer and is capable of altering at least one property of environment within the chamber programmatically at direction of the computer software in order to recover data from the first hard drive that was not readable by the computer before the property of environment was altered. An example of the properties are pressure, temperature, spindle motor current and vibration.
