Abstract: Non-access point (non-AP) multi-link device (MLD) roaming among a serving AP MLD and a target AP MLD of a roaming domain is disclosed. Links are set up from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD. The non-AP MLD affiliated with the roaming domain initiates a link-level roaming setting up a link to the target AP MLD, wherein respective links are set up from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD and target AP MLD. A type of links from the non-AP MLD to the serving AP MLD and target AP MLD is announced and the non-AP MLD terminates all links between the non-AP MLD and the serving AP MLD where the non-AP MLD has links set up only with the target AP MLD to complete the link-level roaming.

Abstract: A method and system for announcing, by a first wireless device, one or more non-primary channel access (NPCA) primary channels of a basic service set (BSS) operating channel for frame transmission. A determination is made that the primary channel is busy and switching to a NPCA primary channel in response to the primary channel being busy and overlapping BSS activity. A frame is transmitted over the NPCA primary channel to a wireless device based on a backoff counter of the NPCA primary channel reaching a predefined value, the backoff counter set based on an enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter set.

Abstract: One example discloses a roaming AP (access point) MLD (multi-link device) for wireless communications, including: a first affiliated AP MLD and a second affiliated AP MLD; a controller configured to: establish a first set of links between the first affiliated AP MLD and a non-AP device at a first time; wherein each of the first set of links from the first affiliated AP MLD includes a first identifier in a frame transmission; identify the non-AP device as a roaming device when at a second time, a first link from the second affiliated AP MLD, having a second identifier in a frame transmission, is visible to the non-AP device, and a link having the first identifier in a frame transmission from the first affiliated AP MLD is no longer visible to the non-AP device; and establish a second set of links between the second affiliated AP MLD and the non-AP device at a third time, after a second link having the second identifier in a frame transmission from the second affiliated AP MLD is visible to the non-AP device.

Abstract: Embodiments of apparatus, system and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a distributed access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) apparatus comprises a roaming AP MLD having a medium access control (MAC) service access point (SAP) address, and a plurality of AP MLDs affiliated with the roaming AP MLDs, wherein at least one of the roaming AP MLD and the AP MLDs is operable to, for a multi-link setup between a non-AP MLD and the roaming AP MLD through one of the AP MLDs affiliated with the roaming AP MLD, calculates Pairwise Master Key (PMK) and Pairwise Transient Key (PTK) using the MAC SAP address of the roaming AP MLD and allow the non-AP MLD to be associated with the roaming AP MLD using the PMK and PTK for frame exchanges.
