Abstract: A state estimating device includes a pre-processing unit and an estimating unit. The pre-processing unit acquires data representing at one or more of a phase of a signal transmitted from a transmission unit of a transmission device and received at a reception unit of another transmission device via a transmission path, a reception strength, a reception quality, a voltage after conversion into an electric signal, and a signal processing parameter used in reception processing, and processes the acquired data into feature data to be used for state estimation. The estimating unit estimates a state of the transmission path, an abnormal state of the transmission unit, or an abnormal state of the reception unit, on the basis of the feature data.

Abstract: A transmission device includes a frame processing unit, a redundant channel processing unit, a transmission and reception unit, and a channel selection unit. The frame processing unit generates division frames, adds error detection signals to the division frames, and outputs the division frames to which the error detection signals are added to a plurality of data channels. The redundant channel processing unit generates, from the division frames, one or more redundant frames including restoration information that enables restoration of the division frames, and outputs the generated redundant frames to a data channel. The transmission and reception unit outputs the division frames and the redundant frames to a transmission line. The channel selection unit allocates the division frames and the redundant frames to allocable transmission and reception units.

Abstract: The present disclosure has an object of proposing a method and a device for estimating the state of a transmission path or an optical transmitter capable of mechanically estimating a factor causing an error with a small amount of constellation data and a low computing amount. The present disclosure provides a device for estimating a state of optical communication, the device including: a data preprocessing unit that reduces the number of data using random sampling with respect to constellation data in which an amplitude and a phase of optical communication data are represented by a polar coordinate diagram and performs distribution calculation and a dimension reduction; a learning unit that learns a dictionary matrix in sparse coding using learning constellation data processed by the data preprocessing unit; and a recognition unit that calculates a sparse coefficient using recognition constellation data processed by the data preprocessing unit and the dictionary matrix learned by the learning unit and estimates a factor causing degradation of the optical communication using the calculated sparse coefficient.
