    Abstract: A wireless communications method for connecting a base station with each of a plurality of terminal stations, the base station being equipped with a plurality of wireless communications units each configured to be able to selectively enable or disable an RTS/CTS function and a NoACK function and connectable with one or more of the terminal stations, includes: a collection step of collecting information as to whether each of the terminal stations is a hidden terminal and information about transmission characteristics of each of the terminal stations; a policy calculation step of calculating a setting policy for enabling or disabling the RTS/CTS function and the NoACK function for each of the wireless communications units and a switching policy for setting a condition for switching that one of the wireless communications units which is to be connected, for each of the terminal stations, based on the collected information; and a setting step of setting those of the terminal stations which are to be connected, for each of the wireless communications units based on the calculated setting policy and switching policy.

    Abstract: Provided is a wireless base station which uses distributed antennas and selects a combination of a plurality of wireless terminals and the distributed antennas of a wireless base station that performs multi-user transmission with respect to the plurality of wireless terminals in a multi-BSS wireless environment. The wireless base station includes: a scheduling unit that measures reception power (RSSI) from each wireless terminal at each of the distributed antennas and selects a combination of a plurality of wireless terminals and a plurality of antennas having approximately the same RSSIs in descending order for respective wireless terminals; and a transmission power control unit that sets minimum transmission power corresponding to the RSSI of the antenna when multi-user transmission is performed between the plurality of wireless terminals and the plurality of antennas combined by the scheduling unit.

    Abstract: [Problem] A base station includes a plurality of radio communication units individually supporting a plurality of communication capabilities, and controls a terminal station to be connected with the base station to select a radio communication unit according to a communication scheme of the terminal station.
    [Solution] Provided is a radio communication method of a radio communication system. The radio communication system includes a plurality of base stations mounted with a plurality of radio communication units for which different communication schemes are settable, a terminal station configured to perform radio communication in a certain communication scheme, and a centralized control station configured to control the plurality of base stations. The radio communication method includes calculating, by the centralized control station, a setting policy of a communication scheme for each of the plurality of radio communication units of each of the plurality of base stations and a switching policy for the terminal station and the radio communication unit, and notifying the base station of the policies, setting, by the base station, the setting policy and the switching policy, notified from the centralized control station, for the radio communication unit, collecting, by the base station, communication scheme information of communication schemes selectable by the terminal station from the terminal station to be connected, and selecting, by the base station, a radio communication unit to be connected by the terminal station in accordance with the communication scheme information, the setting policy, and the switching policy.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for calculating the installation number and installation positions of wireless base stations in accordance with the positions of wireless terminal stations within an installation area. First, when a predetermined number of wireless base stations are temporarily installed within the installation area, a wireless base station accommodating each wireless terminal station in a communication area is determined and the number of wireless base stations accommodating each wireless terminal station is calculated as a “number of conflicts”. Next, wireless base stations successively accommodating starting with an un-accommodated wireless terminal station of a small number of conflicts are successively selected as objects of installation. Then, the installation number and installation positions of the wireless base stations are calculated, with the temporarily installed wireless base stations other than the wireless base stations serving as the objects of installation being excluded.
