摘要: To provide a practically useful organic EL device having a low driving voltage and also having a high efficiency and a long lifetime, and a deuteride suitable therefor. A deuteride of a compound represented by the following general formula (1), in which a rate of deuteration of hydrogen atoms on two carbazole rings in the compound is 30% or more and a rate of deuteration of hydrogen atoms on aromatic rings in Ar1 and Ar2 in the compound are 40% or more, wherein Ar1 and Ar2 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted linked aromatic group in which two to five of these aromatic rings are linked to each other, and aromatic hydrocarbon groups in the case of these aromatic rings linked are the same as or different from each other.

摘要: To provide an organic electroluminescent device having long lifetime characteristics while having a low driving voltage and high power efficiency. The organic electroluminescent device includes one or more light-emitting layers between an anode and a cathode opposed to each other, wherein at least one of the light-emitting layers contains a host material including a first host material, a second host material and a third host material, and a light-emitting dopant material. A LUMO energy of the first host material is −1.95 eV or less, and LM2≥LM3≥LM1 is satisfied under the assumption that LUMO energies of the first host material, the second host material and the third host material are LM1, LM2 and LM3, respectively. A suitable first host material is an indolocarbazole compound represented by general formula (1), a suitable second host material is, for example, a biscarbazole compound represented by general formula (2), and a suitable third host material is an indolocarbazole compound represented by general formula (5).
