The material is a compound having, as a group bonded to a nitrogen atom or a heteroatom, an alkyl group, a substituted or non-substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, a substituted or non-substituted π-electron excess heteroaromatic group, or a linked aromatic group formed by linking of two to six of these aromatic groups.

摘要: To provide a practically useful organic EL device having a low driving voltage and also having a high efficiency and a long lifetime, and a deuteride suitable therefor. A deuteride of a compound represented by the following general formula (1), in which a rate of deuteration of hydrogen atoms on aromatic rings in Ar1 and Ar2 in a compound represented by the following general formula (1) is 40% or more, wherein Ar1 and Ar2 each independently represent a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted linked aromatic group in which two to five of these aromatic rings are linked to each other, and aromatic hydrocarbon groups in the case of these aromatic rings linked are the same as or different from each other.

摘要: To provide an organic EL device having a low driving voltage and also high efficiency and high driving stability, and a compound suitable therefor. The compound for an organic EL device has a structure in which a nitrogen-containing 6-membered ring group like triazine is directly bonded to one of two N-positions in an indolocarbazole ring and a nitrogen-containing 6-membered ring group is bonded to other thereof via an aromatic hydrocarbon group like phenylene. The organic EL device of the present invention contains the compound for an organic EL device and a biscarbazole compound as hosts in a light-emitting layer.

An organic electroluminescent device, wherein a light-emitting layer includes two host materials different from each other, and a dopant material, one of the host materials is a compound represented by general formula (1) and the other of the host materials is a compound represented by general formula (2). A ring A is a heterocycle represented by formula (1a), X represents N or C—Ar′, Y represents O, S, N—Ar3, or C—Ar4Ar5, and any one of Z1 to Z4 represents a carbon atom binding to a 6-membered ring containing X and the others and Z5 to Z8 each represent C—Ar′ or N. Ar, Ar′ and Ar1 to Ar5 each represent, for example, hydrogen, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms. A ring B is a heterocycle represented by formula (2a), and Ar6 and Ar7 each represent, for example, hydrogen, or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
