Abstract:
A nutritional composition contains Fut2-dependent oligosaccharides for promoting brain growth and development in infants in the very early postnatal period. The nutritional composition contains Fut2-dependent oligosaccharides and Lacto-N-neotetraose and is specifically for use in promoting brain catch-up growth in preterm infants or infants with low-birth weight. A kit can include at least two of these nutritional compositions.
Abstract:
Gender specific synthetic nutritional compositions comprising cholesterolin concentrations reflecting those found in human milk produced by mothers of infants of the corresponding gender at the corresponding stage of lactation, and nutritional systems comprising them.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to synthetic nutritional compositions, especially infant formula compositions, with a low content of medium-chain fatty acids (or MFCAs) and particularly in specific proportions. The invention also relates to the use of said compositions to promote liver and/or gut maturation in infants or young children and/or to reduce the risk of liver and/or gut disease in infants or young children.
Abstract:
Gender specific synthetic nutritional compositions for infants up to 1 month of age wherein, the caseins content is adapted based on that found in HM produced for an infant of the same gender and age, and nutritional systems comprising them.
Abstract:
Gender specific synthetic nutritional compositions for infants up to 1 month of age, wherein the leucine and/or threonine and/or tyrosine content is adapted based on that found in HM produced for an infant of the same gender and age, and nutritional systems comprising them.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an age-tailored nutritional composition system comprising at least one nutritional composition A that is administered to an infant from birth and until 3-6 months of life of said infant, at least one nutritional composition B that is administered to an infant from 3-6 months and until 1 year of life of said infant, at least one nutritional composition C that is administered after the first year of life of the young child, and wherein the amount of protein of the different nutritional compositions A, B, C decreases with the sequence of administration. The present invention furthermore relates to the uses of said nutritional composition system.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a synthetic infant formula composition with a low content of medium-chain fatty acids in specific proportions. This composition is for infants, preferably preterm infants. This composition has been designed to promote and/or ensure a balanced growth.
Abstract:
Gender specific synthetic nutritional compositions comprising glycine in concentrations reflecting those found in human milk produced by mothers of infants of the corresponding gender at the corresponding stage of lactation, and nutritional systems comprising them.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to synthetic nutritional compositions for use to promote the maturation and/or repair of the liver and/or gut, and/or to treat and/or prevent and/or reduce the risk of liver and/or gut and/or metabolic disease. The compositions according to the invention have low MCT medium chain fatty acid (MCFA) content and low palmitic acid content.
Abstract:
Delivery mode specific synthetic nutritional compositions for infants up to 1 month of age, more particularly up to 2 weeks of age, wherein the iodine content is adapted based on that found in HM produced for an infant of the same age born by the same delivery mode. Nutritional systems comprising said delivery mode specific synthetic nutritional compositions are also provided.
