Abstract:
From reaction solutions of carboxylic acids prepared by carbonylation with the aid of cobalt carbonyl catalysts, the cobalt of the catalyst is precipitated by the addition of at least equivalent amounts of monocarboxylic or dicarboxylic acids and neutralization with alkaline agents, in the form of a cobalt(II) salt of the added acid, and the carboxylic acid is completely recovered from the reaction solution by acidification.
Abstract:
A supply unit for providing compressed air and reduced pressure for dental surgery comprising several superimposed supply components including at least a compressor unit and a suction unit each unit containing a base plate and a cover plate and vertical posts that connect these plates as well as wall panels.
Abstract:
In regenerative coking ovens having vertical heating flues cooperating in pairs, high level and low level combustion stages and means arranged at the bottoms of respective heating flues to recirculate the flue gas, the following measures insure a substantially reduced generation of NO.sub.x contents in the flue gas: the recirculation current rate is between 20% and 50%, the combustion stage ratio is between 40% and 70% and the second combustion stage is arranged between 35% and 55% of the height of the heating flue.
Abstract:
Renovation of a heating wall, in particular a heating wall head of a coke oven battery, includes starting with reconstruction of the wall to be renovated on a wall protective plate of the part, abutting a new masonry exactly on the wall protective plate, and arranging between the new masonry and the old masonry a vertically extending welding joint for sealing the ceramic welding after heating up the new masonry, which means after reaching final thermal expansion of the new masonry.
Abstract:
NO.sub.x -content in a flue gas during heating of coking oven with heating trains cooperating in pairs, high and low lying combustion stages, and flue gas return at a height of a heating train sole in a circulating stream, is reduced by adjusting a circulating stream rate defined by a volume stream of a returned flue gas divided by a flue gas volume stream without returned flue gas to between 20% and 50%, maintaining a stage ratio for a stage number greater than or equal to 2 defined as an air volume stream of a lower stage divided by a total air volume stream, at between 80/I% and 140/I% wherein I is a number of stages, arranging an upper combustion stage at a height of (45.+-.10%).times.(I-1) of the heating train height.
Abstract:
A gripper bar drive for weaving machines with a cycloid gearbox implemented with a crank arm (3) and an articulated lever (6), has been configured in such a way, that the effective lengths (LK and LH) of the crank arm (3) and of the articulated lever (6), may be modified. This creates the possibility of modifying the stroke of the gripper bars (9) from one value to another, without having to replace the crank arm (3) and the articulated lever (6). Among other things, the implementation can be effected in such a way, that the fastening devices (10) are provided with an eccentric center (M), and the crank arm (3) and the articulated lever (6) may be provided with openings (13, 16) for the fastening devices (10).
Abstract:
A layer system for electrochemical probes has a ceramic substrate, electrodes applied on the ceramic substrate, a sensor layer arranged over the electrodes, and a structure for improving adherence of the sensor layer to the substrate and including at least one adherence improving layer portion which is located under and extends upwardly into the sensor layer and also is sintered with the substrate.
Abstract:
A large-scale coking reactor including a housing provided with a chamber and with outer and inner chamber frames, a displaceable outer door elastically compressed against the outer frame and formed with a respective elastic peripheral seal compressible against the frame and with an outer high temperature membrane interposed between the door and the seal and elastically pressed thereagainst to seal the door opening, a displaceable inner door spaced from the outer door and formed with an inner high temperature membrane interposed between the inner door and the inner frame to fit elastically the inner frame, the inner and outer doors being releasably interconnected upon displacing the outer door, so that the doors are mounted in the housing to be operatable either selectively or in combination with one another.
Abstract:
In order to reduce the concentration of CO in the waste gas of coke oven batteries that are heated by lean gas, additional sealing is used for the brick-work of die regenerator separating walls of the coke oven battery, as well as a coke oven battery with a regenerator having brick-built separating walls, between ducts that carry lean gas and waste gas, in which one has arranged stainless steel sheets in front of the regenerator separating wall with, preferably, an intermediate layer that is located behind it that comprises ceramic fibers. In this regard, the stainless steel sheets, that overlap with one another in each case, are preferably held by rod-shaped tensioning device.
Abstract:
Renovation of a heating wall, in particular a heating wall of a coke oven battery, includes starting with a vertical wall raising of a part to be renovated on a wall protective plate of the part, abutting a new masonry exactly on the wall protection plate, and arranging between the new masonry and the old masonry a vertically extending welding joint from a ceramic material.
