    摘要: An air chamber unit provided for a coke oven door enabling to suppress the generation of poor quality coke and reduce tar adhesion to coke oven door by accelerating coking reaction in the vicinity of coke oven door plug. An air chamber unit (17) is installed to control air supply to the bottom-less combustion space provided in hollow metallic coke oven door plug. For the purpose of long lasting stable air supply for said combustion space, air space (20) in the air chamber unit (17) is divided into two sections (A) and (B) by labyrinth partition to give different function for each of those section. Air intake pipe (27) is fitted in section (A) through bottom plate (21) of air chamber unit (17), wherein check valve plate (35) and other related components are provided as air supply control segments. Air supply pipe (30) or air delivery cup having one or more air inlet holes in upper portion is fitted in section (B) through bottom plate (21) of air chamber unit (17), wherein roles to remove contaminant particles suspended in backward flow gas are provided.

    摘要: A coke oven door comprises a door frame, a plate mounted so as to be freely movable relative to the door frame within limits and a seal operatively mounted to the plate and positioned around the periphery of the frame for effecting sealing against the jamb of a coke oven. In a preferred form, the door comprises a first plate mounted so as to be freely movable relative to the door frame within limits and a second plate mounted to the first plate, having a seal mounted around the periphery thereof and having refractory plugs mounted thereto. Force applying members are mounted around the periphery of the door frame and are selectively adjustable to contact and move the first plate. Force applying members are mounted around the periphery of the first plate and are selectively adjustable to contact and move the seal. Angle sections mounted to the door frame and retainer clips mounted to the first plate cooperate to limit movement of the first plate.

    摘要: A fabricated self-sealing coke oven door which is resistant to warping formed of a rigid steel plate which overlies the mouth of a coking chamber of a coke oven having longitudinal and transverse rectangular stiffener plates welded to the door plate at points spaced inwardly from the edges of the door plate with a plurality of transverse braces weldably interconnecting the longitudinal stiffener plates at spaced points intermediate the ends thereof and welded to the door plates, a plurality of additional transverse braces having one end welded to a longitudinal stiffener plate and the other end welded to the door plate, a rectangular bar welded to the upper edge of each of the stiffener plates extending the length thereof and outwardly to the edge of the door plate in a plane parallel to the plane of the door plate, and a plurality of spring box means at spaced points along the length of each rectangular bar comprising a length of tubing disposed between the rectangular bar and the door plate adapted to co-act through apertures in the door plate with a sealing ring adapted to be mounted on the inner surface of the door plate. At least two of the transverse braces are adapted to support with the door plate a heat resistant plug for the mouth of the coking chamber on the inner surface of the door plate, and two of the transverse braces can be solid rectangular blocks which support door latches which maintain the oven door in operative position at the mouth of the coking chamber.

The sealing edges are pressed against the door frame by bias adjustable springs, through spring loaded plungers. The door plug is formed by a plurality of individual plug elements closely adjacent to each other and supported by associated plug holders, and the sealing diaphragm is firmly screwed in place between the door body and the plug holders only in the upper and lower zones or areas of the door. In the intermediate zone, the diaphragm is connected to a back-up plate and to the plug holders and held adjustably spaced apart from the door body.
