    摘要： A closure arrangement for use with a flexible package includes a first closure mechanism, a slider device, and a second closure mechanism. The first closure mechanism includes selectively engageable first and second profiles. The slider device has a housing operably mounted on the first closure mechanism. The slider housing is constructed and arranged to engage and disengage the first and second profiles. The slider housing defines a first cavity that slidably receives said first and second profiles. The second closure mechanism includes selectively engageable third and fourth profiles. The second closure mechanism is adjacent to the first closure mechanism but is completely outside of the first cavity. The second closure mechanism may be either a single pair of interlocking hooks, or may be multiple members. The slider device includes a plow with a non-rectangular cross-section, such as a polygon, a racetrack, or a circle. The plow may also include shoulders to help retain the slider device on the first closure mechanism.

    摘要： A slider device includes a top wall, first and second sidewalls, and a separating structure. The first sidewall depends from the top wall and includes a first hooking construction. The second sidewall also depends from the top wall and includes a second hooking construction. The top wall and first and second sidewalls define a first cavity that operably receives a closure mechanism having first and second selectively engageable closure profiles. The separating structure selectively separates the first and second profiles of the closure mechanism. The separating structure includes a stabilizer and a separator. The stabilizer extends from the second sidewall and the second hooking construction into the first cavity. The stabilizer retains a lower portion of the second closure profile proximate to a lower portion of the first closure profile. The separator depends from the top wall and extends from the first sidewall into the first cavity. The separator applies pressure to an upper portion of the second closure profile to push the upper portion of the second closure profile away from an upper portion of the first closure profile, causing the first and second closure profiles to separate.

    摘要： A tamper evident package includes a closure arrangement having a lockable orientation and an unlockable orientation. The lockable orientation includes a first closure member secured to a first package wall, and a second closure member secured to a second package wall. Preferably, the first closure member is secured to the first wall with a peelable sealing arrangement. The unlockable orientation includes the first closure member being separated or peeled from the first wall. The closure arrangement is transformed from the lockable orientation to the unlockable orientation in response to a pulling force separating the first closure member from the first wall. In some arrangements, the peelable sealing arrangement is pigmented to provide a visual indication that the package has been opened after an initial sealing of the closure arrangement. Methods for constructing and using a flexible package are provided herein.
