摘要: An image reading device (1) includes a board (24) including a plurality of imaging elements (23) arranged along a scanning direction, and a housing (13) including (i) a plurality of optical components that are arranged along the scanning direction and (ii) a plurality of housing components (13a, 13b) that are arranged along the scanning direction. Each of the plurality of optical components focuses light reflected by a reading target onto a corresponding imaging element (23), and each of the plurality of housing components holds at least one optical component. The plurality of housing components (13a, 13b) are arranged to have a clearance therebetween and each of the plurality of housing components (13a, 13b) is fixed to the board (24) at a position to transmit light through the optical components to focus onto the corresponding imaging element (23).

摘要: An objective of the present disclosure is to obtain a light guide and an image reading apparatus capable of efficiently irradiating an object to be irradiated (1). The light guide and the image reading apparatus include a rod-shaped light guide main body (2) extending in the longitudinal direction, a first end face (3) that is an end face of the light guide main body (2) along the transverse direction, a light scattering pattern (5) that scatters light that enters from the first end face (3) and is guided inside the light guide main body (2), and a light emission surface portion (6) formed on the light guide main body along a longitudinal direction, the light emission surface portion (6) being a surface from which the light scattered at the light scattering pattern (5) is emitted to outside the light guide main body (2) after being reflected on a wall surface of the light guide main body (2).The light emission surface portion (6) includes a first light emission surface (6a) that is disposed near the first end face (3) in the longitudinal direction and a second light emission surface (6b) that is contiguous with the first light emission surface (6a) in the longitudinal direction. A width of the first light emission surface (6a) in the transverse direction is shorter than a width of the second light emission surface (6b) in the transverse direction.

摘要: An image-reading apparatus includes a housing having a rectangular-shaped opening on a side of a reading target, a lens portion retained or housed within the housing, and a sensor element to receive light condensed by the lens portion, the light being from the reading target. Long sides of the opening include a first layer that is flat and is disposed on the side of the reading target and a second layer that is continuous with the first layer. The long sides of the opening of the housing of the image-reading apparatus has a flat surface on the side of the reading target and an interface between the first layer and the second layer that is curved.

摘要: An illumination device includes a light source and a rod-like light guide extending in a longitudinal direction for guiding incident light to an object to be illuminated. The light source is disposed at an end of the light guide extending in a longitudinal direction. The light guide includes an incident surface at the longitudinal end to receive light emitted from the light source, a flat emission surface to emit light incident on the light guide toward the object to be illuminated, a parabolic reflective surface to reflect, toward the emission surface, light from a focus of the paraboloid shape of the refractive surface or light passing through the focus from a predetermined area, and a light-scattering portion, having a predetermined area, to scatter light entering through the incident surface and reflect the light toward the reflective surface. The light-scattering portion is placed at the focus of the paraboloid shape or at a position where light reflected by the scattering area on the light-scattering portion passes through the focus.

摘要: A light guide includes an incident surface provided at an end portion of the light guide in the longitudinal direction and upon which light emitted by a light source incidents; an emission surface being flat-shaped, the emission surface emitting the light that enters the light guide through the incident surface to an illumination target; a reflective surface having a parabolic shape to generate collimated light directed toward the emission surface by reflecting light from a focal point of the parabolic shape or light from a predetermined area including the focal point, and a light scatterer having a predetermined scattering area to scatter light that entered the light guide through the incident surface and reflect light that entered the light guide through the incident surface in a direction of the reflective surface. The emission surface includes a first emission surface that has a predetermined length from an end portion of the light guide facing the light source along the longitudinal direction, the emission surface being set to an angle at which, among the light scattered by the light scatterer, the collimated light generated by the reflective surface is totally reflected.
