Abstract: An elevator car position detection device is provided capable of preventing erroneous detection of a metal object other than an object to be detected. The elevator car position detection device includes: an object to be detected provided in one of a hoistway and a car of an elevator, the object to be detected being formed of a magnetic body and having a slit-like opening; and a magnetic detection device provided in the other of the hoistway and the car of the elevator, the magnetic detection device being configured to detect a change in magnetic flux density according to the slit-like opening when facing the object to be detected.

Abstract: A wavelength monitor includes: a wavelength tunable laser (1) having a plurality of emitting ports (10, 11), from which laser beams of the same wavelength are emitted; collimating lenses (20, 21) , which are configured to collimate the laser beams emitted from the emitting ports (10, 11) to emit the collimated laser beams; an optical filter (4) having a periodic transmittance with respect to a frequency, on which the laser beams emitted from the collimating lenses (20, 21) are incident; and an optical detector (5) configured to receive the laser beams that have passed through the optical filter (4) to detect light intensities of the laser beams. In the wavelength monitor, the collimating lenses (20, 21) and the optical filter (4) are disposed so that the laser beams are incident on the optical filter (4) while a condition expressed as Equation (1) is satisfied.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus configured to detect a car position by performing threshold processing on a voltage caused by an AC magnetic response through use of an identification plate in which a slit pattern is formed and a plurality of coils, the apparatus including a circuit configuration capable of switching between a normal operation for detecting the car position based on an on/off detection operation using the plurality of coils and a self-diagnosis operation capable of verifying the on/off detection operation irrespective of the presence or absence of the identification plate with a car in a stopped state by forcedly applying a magnetic field to the coils.

Abstract: A detection subject body provided in a hoistway includes an ID sequence formed by arranging three or more types of segments having different magnetic properties in a movement direction of an elevating body. An eddy current type detection unit is provided on the elevating body to generate signals corresponding to the magnetic properties of the respective segments. An identification unit identifies the respective types of the segments on the basis of the signals from the detection unit, and outputs a time series signal in a different output condition depending on the type of each segment. A digital data conversion unit converts the time series signal into digital data on the basis of variations in the output condition of the time series signal from the identification unit. A position specification unit specifies the position of the elevating body on the basis of the digital data.

Abstract: A wavelength monitor monitors wavelengths of laser beams emitted from a laser source and transmitted through a collimating lens. The wavelength monitor comprises an etalon that serves as an optical filter, and an optical detector. The etalon has a transmittance that is periodic with respect to a frequency, and is disposed such that a pair of collimated beams, emitted through a pair of emitting ports of the laser source and then transmitted through the collimating lens, is incident on the optical filter at symmetrically positive and negative angles. The optical detector receives the pair of collimated beams transmitted through the etalon, and detects the intensities of the pair of collimated beams.

The elevator car position detection sensor includes a first coil provided to one of an elevator car and a hoistway and configured to output an excitation magnetic field to a plate provided to the other of the elevator car and the hoistway; a second coil provided on an opposite side of the first coil relative to the plate; a shield wall configured to shield an end portion of the plate located closer to one of the car and the hoistway; and a determination circuit configured to determine a phase of an alternating-current voltage corresponding to a frequency of the excitation magnetic field output from the first coil at an alternating-current voltage generated across the second coil.

Abstract: An optical multiplexer includes a polarizer, a receptacle, a rotator disposed between the polarizer and the receptacle to rotate polarization planes of a pair of linearly polarized light beams in a forward direction and a polarization plane of a light beam in an opposite direction by 45 degrees, the forward direction being from the polarizer toward the receptacle, the opposite direction being from the receptacle to the polarizer, and a birefringent prism disposed between the rotator and the receptacle to multiplex the pair of linearly polarized light beams in the forward direction and to split the light beam in the opposite direction into an ordinary ray and an extraordinary ray. The rotator and the birefringent prism are fixed to the receptacle.

Abstract: An optical circuit includes an input waveguide, an arrayed waveguide including a plurality of output waveguides, a coupler, an electrode capable of applying a voltage to each of the output waveguides of the arrayed waveguide, and a chip unit to which the input waveguide, the coupler, and a portion of the arrayed waveguide are fixed. The arrayed waveguide is divided into a phase shifter portion capable of generating a predetermined phase difference between adjacent ones of the output waveguides, a beam portion having a cantilever structure that is not fixed by the chip unit, and a waveguide portion between the phase shifter portion and the beam portion. The electrode is capable of applying positive and negative voltages to the beam portion of the arrayed waveguide such that positive and negative voltages are alternately applied to adjacent ones of the output waveguides.

Abstract: In an elevator position detection apparatus, when a first diagnosis switch is closed, a diagnosis coil generates a first induced magnetic field, and when a second diagnosis switch is closed, the diagnosis coil generates a second induced magnetic field that is weaker than the first induced magnetic field. In a constant L output fault diagnosis mode in which the first induced magnetic field is generated, an output value of a measurement signal falls below a threshold regardless of whether or not a detection subject body is present in a detection region. In a constant H output fault diagnosis mode in which generation of both the first and the second induced magnetic fields is stopped, the output value of the measurement signal equals or exceeds the threshold regardless of whether or not the detection subject body is present in the detection region.
