摘要: A compact, light-weight binocular includes motorized optical adjust. The binocular includes a pair of telescopic sections connected to a bridge section positioned between them. Each telescopic section includes an eyepiece lens group, a prism element, an intermediate focus lens element, and a fixed objective lens. A high-speed focus motor and a speed-reduction gear assembly are positioned on the bridge section and operably coupled to the intermediate focus lens elements. A user-operated focus control is selectively operated by a user to activate the focus motor and adjust focus of the binocular.

摘要: A scope for a firearm can be used for a gun sight. The scope comprises a main tube that contains imaging optics therein. In certain embodiments, the main tube comprises a single continuous tubular body extending uninterrupted from a widened proximal end portion through a narrow medial portion to a widened distal end portion. A side focus assembly is positioned along the tubular body. The side focus assembly is used to vary the position of optics within the scope to adjust the overall focus of the scope.

摘要: A collapsible cellular insulation panel for use with mobile shelters is provided. The panel comprises first and second outer sheets with a plurality of intermediate thin flexible membranes. The membranes are secured along first and second edges to inner surfaces of the outer sheets. The membranes are attached to adjacent membranes along strips that are parallel to and intermediate the first and second membrane edges. The interconnected membranes form cells that trap insulating air and break up convective currents between the outer sheets. Supported from underneath on a horizontal surface, the membranes lay substantially flat, such that a thickness of the panel substantially equals the sum of the thicknesses of the membranes and outer sheets. The panel is thus well adapted for use with mobile shelters, because it occupies little volume in the collapsed state. A shear stress on the insulation sheet in a direction perpendicular to the first and second membrane edges opens the cells and increases a distance between the outer sheets. The insulation sheet similarly opens when suspended from above in a substantially horizontal configuration.

摘要: Certain embodiments described herein comprise a scope for mounting on a firearm to provide a sight. This scope is adjustable in at least one of elevation and windage. The scope comprises a main tube, imaging optics in the main tube, a movable optic assembly that holds at least a portion of the optics; and an adjustable mechanism configured to adjust the position of the movable optics assembly. The adjustment mechanism comprises a rotatable adjustment knob, an adjustment screw, and a biasing element that biases the adjustment screw with respect to the adjustment knob. In an engagement position the adjustment knob drivingly engages with the adjustment screw such that rotation of the knob causes rotation of the adjustment screw, and in a depressed position the knob disengages the adjustment screw.

摘要: A combined reflex/telescopic sight that includes a telescopic optical element train and a view window, offset from the optical element train. A transition assembly is positioned to receive light from the optical element train and the view window and has an image display, a collimating lens-set positioned to transmit light to the image display and a luminous reticle. This assembly may be placed in a first mode wherein light from the optical train travels through the collimating lenses to the image display and light from the view window is blocked. In a second mode light from the optical train is blocked and light from the luminous reticle travels through the collimating lens set and is combined with light from the view window and a resulting combined image appears at the image display. Finally an actuation assembly is adapted to permit a user to switch the transition assembly between modes.

摘要: An improvement in a vapor recovery line in the form of a vortex shedding flow meter installable within such vapor recovery line to monitor the flow rate of vapor being returned through the vapor recovery line, such flow meter including a housing having an inlet flange with an associated inlet connectable to the upstream portion of the vapor recovery line, an outlet flange with an outlet connectable to the downstream portion of the vapor recovery line, a housing for a passageway extending between the inlet and outlet, with a vortex strut extending into the passageway nearer the outlet to generate shed flow vortices and a transmitter-receiver transducer pair positioned nearer the outlet to subject the shed vortices to a sonic beam to effect modulation thereof, and an electronics package within an electronic housing portion for determining from such modulation the flow rate of the vapor passing through the vapor recovery line.
