The arrangement makes possible a precise modeling of the air mass flow. An air mass flow in the air supply is modeled in dependence upon a compressor rpm and a compressor pressure ratio and is compared to an air mass flow measured by the air-mass measuring device (1). The invention is also directed to a method for monitoring the air-mass measuring device (1).
